Upgraded Windows 8 and now my keyboard is not working...

I just bought an HP G7 Pavillion with Intel i5 Processor with Windows 8 and did a Windows update, now my keyboard is not working and I'm getting an error message dealing with the "USB-IF xHCI Host Controller Properties" not working. I've tried the system restart but all that did was wipe my laptop of all my music, photos, files, and apps. I'm really upset since I'm a student and can't afford to be shelling out $600 for a laptop and then have it practically useless within a couple weeks. I've always liked Windows but if this is going to happen everytime there's a system update I don't think I'll be buying Windows again :/

I synced my account in my windows 8, where can I find my contacts?

I have gone into the people charm on my start page, there is a list of all my contacts both mail and Facebook.  I have added and edited them there but when I go to send an email and want to include them I have to physically type the new ones in.  Please tell me how to sync or get directly into my gmail contacts.  Thank you

I upgraded from vista to windows 8 but my sony vaio will not support windows 8. Can I swap my windows 8 licence to windows 7 32 bit?

I have a sony vaio vgn-ar61zu - which I have since discovered does not support windows 8.  Although I can revert to vista, woul;d it be possible to transfer the windows 8 key to a windows 7 32 bit rather then buy another upgrade?
