TTX tech xbox 360 compatibility issues
location:
7forums.com - date:

Hey guys, I didnt know whether or not to put this in as a driver issue or as a hardware issue. I chose driver issue because I believe that no proper drivers exist for this adapter. What I have bought is a TTX tech wireless Xbox 360 Adapter. I had no idea when i bought it that it wouldn't immediately work with windows 7 (running on premium x64). I have done all I can possibly think of doing. I have gone to Microsoft.com and found the proper drivers/software to run bot wired and wireless controllers but i am still unable to find the device. If it is any help, the device and the controller seem to work and connect but they do not connect to the computer. Hope someone can figure this one out for me.
Regards
Josh

Windows 8 Media Center / XBOX 360 Extender (crashing & freezing issues)
location:
microsoft.com - date:
December 7, 2012
There are some other questions that halfway hit this and don't hit this issue - consider the below scenario and confirm if others are having the issue / troubleshooting efforts / and is MS is truly aware.
It's a little frustrating since it's an included (well at cost or free till jan) component, and hinders us from adopting Win8 as our Media Center machine:
Setup:
1) Windows 8 Pro with Media Center add on - assumption is this machine (in my case ceton) is running your home tv infrastructure - either basic cable / cable card / etc. - again in my case i'm running ceton - using the latest win 8 beta drivers (sure they
are beta - lets not limit it to that being the cause though)
2) Xbox 360 as media center extender - this is my se

Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless receiver issues
location:
7forums.com - date:

I have windows 7 home premium, my PC is: HP Pavilion s5700.
My problem is that when I try to use the installation disc (the small one) there doesn't seem to be a proper installation, the Wizard Setup doesnt come up even though it has technically been installed (i clicked on the file and installed parts myself), because it's there on the desktop: 'Microsoft 360 Accessory Status.' And when i click on it, the icon appears that shows if the controllers synced, but the controller wont sync at all - when i press the receiver button and the controller sync button at the same time, they both just keep flashing - i think because it is not installing right! Probably some sort of driver error?
The Usb is plugged in and the green receiver light on

Xbox 360 Controller (Wired) Issues
location:
7forums.com - date:

Hi guys,
Bear with me, I'm not the most proficient with technology and such so technical jargon and the lot will just confuse me
NOTE: I have read other forums with similar problems but it doesn't seem to be working out for me (then again half the time I have no idea what they are saying -.-)
I have an Xbox360 controller (wired) which I want to connect to my Laptop to play games. Unfortunately it's not connecting, and I'm not sure what the problem is (Microsoft Accessories status doesn't pick up connection either).
So um, please and thanks

Issues connecting Xbox 360 to vista laptop through ethernet lan connection (laptop is connected via wifi)
location:
microsoft.com - date:

I have spent a few hours trying to solve this issue, and I have gone to countless forums. They have all told me to go into "Manage Network Connections" and right-click-properties on my Wi-fi connection. Then they talk about clicking on the sharing tab.......which
I dont have. I do not know how to share my wifi network connection with my xbox 360. It is supposed to be easy, but I cannot achieve what is concieved as "highly probable". I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FW390 Laptop, and Vista Home Premium. Maybe I have to set
up an access point connection, or do some kind of ICS thing...I don't know. I'm incredibly irritated with this, and I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

Compatibility issues after downgrading from Windows 8 to Windows 7
location:
7forums.com - date:
February 20, 2013
Ok, so hi everyone again and sorry for this but yes... I just downgraded from Windows 8 and so far I'm not very happy for a few reasons (more like problems) that I really need help with... So, before I go into exposing my problem I'd just like to give some background so you know where I'm at:
Instead of doing a so called downgrade and going through all that process of contacting the manufacturer and asking for the software required I decided to go full-on cowboy and take my chances doing a clean install of Windows 7; So I booted from the disc and got some problems (which I later fixed) with the whole partitions thing (I ended up deleting all of them and having only 1 partition filled with unalloc'ed space to which I installed Windows 7 (

Microsoft could make a light version of Windows 8 for the XBOX 360
location:
7forums.com - date:
December 14, 2011
First we'll look at Windows 7's minimum requirements (as Windows 8 will most likely be the same or a bit lower on average):
655mhz CPU
512mb RAM
onboard graphics with 8mb
10gb hard drive
XBOX 360 specifications:
3-Core 3.2ghz cpu (PowerPC, a little like ARM)
500mhz GPU
512MB RAM
At least 20GB hard drive except for the s 4gb and the Arcade models (those will need a hard drive)
Points that could theoretically allow for this:
Windows 7 can run pretty well on 512mb with some optimizations already
Windows 8 will be slimmed down a lot compared to Windows 7, and unnecessary things can be stripped out of the OS (and made available through the Metro App store in the case that some people will use it)
Metro is similar to the latest XBOX interfa

Xbox 360 Wired Controller Driver For Windows 8 64-Bit?
location:
8forums.com - date:
December 21, 2012
I'm looking for a Windows 8-specific controller driver, if such a driver exists. I went to the Microsoft downloads website and a few other sites of theirs, and all I see are drivers for XP, Vista, and 7. I assume the drivers for 7 will work fine on Windows 8 But do I need to install it in 7 compatibility mode? Or is the 360 driver already included by default on 8, thereby precluding the need for installation? Dont want to manually install anything if I dont have to. I also know that I can sign into the Xbox Live app from the Metro screen, but that's probably just for using the app itself and not for playing games with a controller.
Also, does anyone know of a decent alternative to the official Microsoft drivers? I know that, by de

Xbox 360 PC wireless gaming Receiver
location:

My OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Problem:
When I plug in the xbox 360 wireless receiver the drivers will not load. The light on the device turns on and windows recognizes it as an Unkown USB device. I have tried loading the drivers straight from M$ and have tried manually installing them. I get an error stating that windows found the driver but could not install it. I have also installed the device onto an xp machine and it works perfectly the package itself does state that it is windows 7 compatable as does the manufacture's website I have also seen screen shots of the device working, on a windows 7 ultimate 32bit os but not a 64 bit. At this point I'm thinking it might be because im running 64 and not 32bit...and if thats the case would b
