Sony Vaio VGN-FS920 Drivers

Hello
I have a Sony Viao from '05/06 ish that had XP on it drive failed recovery disc iffy at best so I installed win 7 ultimate 32 (x86) bit on to the system all drivers installed except a couple net ones the LAN drivers and video/display.
I used double driver already from the old system that was struggling and updated the system to seven, all loaded except the ones mentioned above...
Part of me feels it failed cu the DD only copied over the xp files not the newly created win 7.
I need some fresh eyes is there anything I can do to get these drivers to load ?

Sony Vaio EB Loud Fan Noise

Hi There,
I Have a Sony Vaio VPCEB24FD, I got it in September and it has a very loud fan noise, even louder than my old desktop pc! . I am hoping that i dont have to under-volt my cpu. Also My Laptop gets so hot that i feel like its going to burn my lap .

The Sound Has Gotten Better After I Ran Vaio Care and Installed Some Updates. But Still Loud

Factory Reinstalled Windows 7 But Still Same Problem, Leaning towards hardware issues, will file claim with sony support and take over to local sony repair center.

Sony vaio won't boot up

Hi, this is my first post
I have a Sony vaio vgn-fw140e that worked pretty well until yesterday. I had Ubuntu installed on it and then decided I didn't want it, so I went to control panel>programs and features, and I uninstalled Ubuntu from there. Then I was planning to upgrade to windows 8, so I turned off my system. When I restarted it, it said errrr grub rescue. So I replaced the HD and rebooted it with an installation DVD in the computer. But the computer wouldn't boot from it, and now I'm stuck on the "no operating system found" screen. And yes, I changed the first boot priority to the optical drive in bios. Can anyone help me?

I have installed WIndows 8 on non touch screen laptop which i bought brand new 3 months ago and in my opinion has left me with a machine which is unusable... I would like to re-install windows 7 but i also want my £14.99 back as the product i bought (windows
8) is not fit for purpose! Maybe if i had a touchscreen device i would feel different but the lack of start menu and stupid design means it will severely affect my productivity... I now have to spend a day of my life backing up my computer and doing a fresh
install of windows 7!

Windows 8 Consumer Preview installation problem on Sony Vaio VPCEB46FG

Hi, I have a Sony Vaio E Laptop Series: VPCEB46FG (i5+4GB RAM+500GB HD). I have genuine Windows 7 Home Premium installed on it when i bought it.
I have downloaded the Windows 8 Consumer Preview .iso file and made a DVD out of it. When i boot the windows for installation from the dvd and start installing Windows 8 the installations gets stuck on 'Expanding Windows files(1%)' step. I have waited till hours but it doesn't move further.
I've done this by installing a it to another drive. I've also tried installing from the setup in DVD after inserting the disk in win 7 but there also it gets stuck on 30% completion and doesn't move further.
Please help me out installing Windows 8 on my laptop. What should i do now?

Sony Vaio EJ3, manually uninstall Alps Touch Pad Utility??

Hi all,
I've just downloaded windows 8 onto my win 7 vaio that i bought a few months ago. However, after running the setup, i get to the screen of what needs my attention. Of these, on says:
Alps Touch Pad Utility
Uninstall this app now because it isn't compatible with Windows 8
(see attatchment)
I've got 2 problems:
A: I don't know how to manually uninstall it
B: If i uninstall it, will the touch pad/mouse thing not work when i upgrade to 8??
Any help really appreciated, thought I was going to be loving my windows 8 comp by now!

Sony Vaio Computer doesn't boot and get 0xc000021a error.

Brand new Sony Viao computer £1000 bought Dec 12
Windows 8 preinstalled. no disc with it. Satisfactorily connected to internet. Probably used 6-10 times in 2 months. Had McAfee a-v pre-installed.
Installed office 2010 from atuhentic disc Dec 12
Installed teeam viewer 8 end Dec 12 (because laptop for non computer literate person and Win 8 is so difficult to work)
Jan 13
Get message PC ran into a problem and needs to restart . look for error code 0x00021a error
Laptop goes into automatic repair then says Automatic repair cannot replair. So also cant get into menu allowing to look at text file either.
Options are "Shut down" (=no help)
or
"Advanced Options"

Sony Vaio Gesture Control

Hello Every one!
I have here my Sony Vaio SVE14113EGW series. I tried to reformat my Laptop and then try to install all the drivers located on the Sony Vaio page.
I installed all the drivers on their list and I am sure i didn't miss anything on their drivers.
Now the problem is why I was looking for the gesture control I cant locate it on my laptop. I wonder where I can locate my gesture control so I can activate it on my Media Player.
Please help me to solve this issue.
