Can my Windows 8 Pro System Builder be installed on multiple computers
location:
8forums.com - date:
October 30, 2012
In looking at the personal use agreement of the Windows 8 Pro System Builder it states:
"The software in the package not be used:
To license more than five copies of the software (in total) for commercial use"
Does this mean I can install Windows 8 on another computer per the license for Win 8 Pro? My Windows 7 Home Premium was so much easier on this since it clearly stated that it supports 3x licenses.
thanks!

My computer is just a few weeks old and has been working fine until today. I have gotten the blue screen of death many times today and each time it's said it has something to do with System_Service_Exception. If anyone could help me out, it would be greatly
appreciated.
Here are the files I've noticed are needed after looking through the forums a bit:
Minidump files: http://sdrv.ms/WD992o

Weird Phone Activation Message - System Says Office Instead of Windows
location:
7forums.com - date:
March 9, 2013
I recently clean-installed Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium OEM. When I did the phone activation, the automated voice menu asked me to tell it how many computers were installed with this version of Microsoft Office. Should I try to get through to a live Microsoft agent and let them know that they have incorrectly identified my copy of 7 as a copy of Office?

System Service Exception in Windows 8
location:

Looks like I'm having the same problem as everyone else with this System_Service_Exception error. The laptop worked fine for a few days, I installed a few new programs and transferred data, and the laptop still worked fine for several days. The problem
began when I allowed updates to install. I have an HP with 4 GB RAM. I tried clicking on the link provided in previous posts to upload dump files, but that link would not load for me. Please help!

So, yeah, like everyone else it seems, I have been plagues with the BSOD and a notice of the System Service Exception accompanied by an automatic restart. Which after looking around a bit seems to be an umbrella for all sorts of things.. Which really makes
me miss the old day of codes that would ultimately help you fix the problem.

Hello, I have exactly the same problem as Riram 04 posted on december 22, 2012.
I bought my sony vaio laptop two months ago and now I got the blue screen many times a day (systeme service exception). It happens more and more often and I absolutely don't understand where it comes from. Already tried to analyze the minidump data with the
windows tool kit. But even if I have the analysis now, I dont know what to do with it.
This is the bugcheck analysis:

BSOD System Service Exception
location:
8forums.com - date:
February 19, 2013
Hello, my friends. Posting here because I desperately need someone to check my dump files to see why my netbook keeps crashing on me a couple times every day. It's only happened while using Google Chrome or Windows (File) Explorer.
I would have more dump files, but I accidentally deleted them with CCleaner (remembered to turn off that checkbox now). But I still have two from crashes today.
I'm running Windows 8 on an Acer Aspire One AO725-0687 Netbook with an AMD C-70 APU and 2 GB RAM.
Included in the attachment are two dump files from the crashes. The BSOD mentions it as being a SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, and the Action Center once claimed that one of the crash occurrences was caused by the AMD video driver and that there wa

W8-created recovery disk restore back to resized system?
location:
8forums.com - date:
March 21, 2013
I've created a recovery disk using the built-in recovery disk generator and selected the option to copy the contents from the OEM recovery partition. This is not a "normal" system image, which creates an image of the current C drive.
1. Will booting from this recovery drive followed by a restore will restore back to factory conditions?
2. Is is possible to restore back onto a re-sized system partition? Or, is it necessary to re-create the recovery disk *after* the re-size of the system partition? Or, is there something specific on the OEM recovery partition which states it *must* be restored to the partition size the way it shipped?
Thanks.

Can't delete file because it's in use by System
location:
7forums.com - date:
January 28, 2010
I'm trying to delete an ISO image which appears to be in use by System. When I boot into safe mode and try it, the error still comes up. I've also tried deleting it via the elevated command prompt. Changing the security permissions doesn't seem to do it.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can delete the file? It's one of those Ubuntu disc images.
