Start menu language changed, how to change back?

I have a problem with the entries in the start menu. Normaly I have Swedish which is what the system is set to use. But for some reason the entries in the start menu is english now!
How can I change that back? Maybe it hapened when I installed and run the program "Advanced System Care" which was suposed to be a good program, but I'm not sure. I didn't help to uninstall it by the way.
What to do?

Start menu is suddenly insanely tall and won't change back to normal

For some reason, my start menu has suddenly become ridiculously tall, spanning the entire height of the screen. This image might give a better idea: imgur: the simple image sharer.
I have no idea how or why this happened. I tried searching for the problem, but I can't find a single thing even remotely related. My recent items count is at 0, so it's nothing to do with that. I've already tried fiddling about with the setting for that, but with no success at all. I tried a system restore to before this occurred, but this had absolutely no effect either. It's only affecting this profile, and no others (although, really, the only others are guest or temp accounts).
I've come hoping that someone in this forum may be able to suggest somethin

Its again possible to get the Start menu back in Windows 8 RTM withthe following utilities:
1- ViStart Start Menu, Windows 7 Start Menu
2- Classic Shell Welcome to Classic Shell
and
3- StartMenuX Start Menu 7

Is there a petition for aggravated Windows 8 users.
I have tried for months to make the Windows 8 tile start screen my friend but I can’t take it any longer, downgrading back to Windows 7.
I have the Nokia Lumia 920 and enjoy Windows Phone 8 but its not on the desktop.
Come on Microsoft, yield. I won’t upgrade any PC's at work with Windows 8, staff hate tile, it’s counterproductive for experienced Windows users.
Microsoft must be killing PC manufactures, no IT managers I know or work with will deploy windows 8 in the enterprise other than smart phones and tablets.

Windows 8 Calendar App does not open from its Start Menu tile. It closes automatically and reverts back to the start screen when tried to open it.

Old Title: Windows 8 Calendar App
Windows 8 Calendar app will not open from the calendar start tile. Used to work fine. Now, when you click on the calendar tile, it reverts back to the start screen. Have lots listed in my calendar and can't seem to recover it ! Thanx !

Hi there
a few have been looking at various ways to get the Start menu back
I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned "Classic Shell" -- menu is customisable as well
FREE from here Welcome to Classic Shell
this it what it looks like on my system (note I've taken the standard option but you can customize it after installation via settings==>classic shell.
(You still have to click desktop after bootup to get to the desktop but that's hardly a pain given the faster boot time anyway).
Bye Bye those 97 zillion million tiles !!.

I find the new Windows 8 "start" lack the hierarchical organisation. After I installed a view programs the "start" page just become a big pile of mess. I would like to get the start button on the desktop. Is there a way to do it?
