New hard drive doesn't boot after disk cloning, error 0xc000000e
location:
7forums.com - date:

I have installed a new hard drive in my laptop. I placed the old hard drive in a USB enclosure. I then booted the notebook with EaseUS Todo Backup 4 from CD-ROM and selected to clone the disk from the external to the internal hard drive and choose the option to resize the partitions. After over three hours, the cloning process was complete. However, after the re-start I get error 0xc000000e.

Disk Read Error - Can you Spot Anything Wrong with this Sceencap?
location:
7forums.com - date:
August 28, 2011
Well it has been a fun couple of days!
Trying to restore a mistake on my Windows 7 ultimate x64 hard drive that Ubuntu started to overwrite.
So far I have
1. Backed-up / Copied all my files so whatever is done to this HD is ok.
2. Restored the partitions
3. Tried FixMBR / FixBoot / Chkdsk / Rebuildbcd
In the recovery console it sees my OS just fine
But when I boot my Dell XPS desktop after post it says 'Disk Read Error' press ctrl+alt+del to restart.
I don't think it has anything to do with the bios - I've put the hard drive in another dell and it did the same thing (tried different Sata cables too).
I think there is a peice I'm missing somewhere with these partitions (see attached). I currently have my non-booting drive in another de

All Programs Not Responding Blue Screen Of Death Disk Read Error?!
location:
7forums.com - date:
March 16, 2012
I was using a program called NoLimits and Google Chrome on my Windows 7 computer. After about 30 minutes or so, all the programs was not responding.
After about 5 minutes or so, the screen shook and lines were on it. After that, I got the Blue Screen Of Death.
I restarted the computer. After the dell logo and below your computer type (Inspiron, Inspiron One etc), (before you see the Windows Error Recovery screen) I got an error message that said "A disk read error occurred. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to reRECOVERY."
When I press Ctrl, Alt and Delete, The computer restarts and I get the same error message. Then, I have to shut down the computer and leave it off for at least an hour.
After an hour, I turned on the computer and I di

Constant Freezing + Disk Read Error + Detecting SATA drives
location:
7forums.com - date:
November 1, 2012
So recently my desktop PC has been freezing at random times, and then sometimes restarting after not responding for a couple of minutes (no BSOD, just restarts as far as I've seen). It sometime freezes as soon as I turn the computer on, while Windows is loading, and sometimes it will start freezing after an hour it's been on. Most of the time it will just freeze for around a minute, and then unfreeze, but sometimes it does freeze and then restart. By freeze I mean everything, mouse included, and ctrl+alt+delete doesn't work.
Also at bootup sometimes, it will fail to detect my SATA hard-drive and hang at Detecting SATA drives at the bios screen. This will be following by a disk read error.
This problem started occuring a couple of weeks a

Bad Pool Header Error, occurs randomly
location:
7forums.com - date:
January 8, 2012
I've been experiencing the Bad Pool Header BSOD about every other day. It occurs randomly and without warning. I'm running Windows 7 on a unit on which Windows Vista was originally installed. Perhaps a driver conflict is the problem? I've tried restoring to factory settings and reinstalling Windows 7 to no avail.
System specs:
-Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit
-not the original OS (OEM was Windows Vista)
-system is approximately 3 years old
-reinstalled Windows 7 12/29/11
Thanks in advance.
