XP Mode disk full error

Hi,
I'm running XP mode on a 31 Gb (E:/) partition of a 500 Gb Harddrive on a Windows 7 Ultimate x64 computer. In XP Mode the (local) C: drive reports the availabillity of 126 Gb? Although there are only a few programs installed on virtual XP, the computer keeps telling me that the E:/ drive is full. It looks as if this announcement is produced by Windows 7 and not Virtual XP. I further found that the file Windows XP Mode.vhd (which should be the actual virtual machine) occupies some 29,9 Gb. This could be the reason the E:/ drive reports to be full. However as there are only some 10 Gb of programs stored on the virtual machine (incl. XP), there seems to be no reason why the *.vhd file should occupy 30 Gb. Does anybody know why this file i

XP Mode on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit hardware operating with 32 bit XP programs
location:

Is the XP mode on Win 7 Pro compatable with a 64 bit computer, with hardware using a 64 bit driver, running in the xp mode with a 32 bit program?
I have several audio editing software packages that are 32 bit, but they do not interface with a tascam 64 bit analog to digital converter when using win 7 64 bit. If I run the xp mode, will it operate basically like a win xp 32bit computer?

I got XP mode to display 24-bit color with integration!

I read this article and decided to try it out. I did these steps:
1. Open up the Group Policy editor in XP, by going Start --> Run and type in MMC.
2. Add the Group Policy snap-in by going File --> Add/Remove Snap-in --> Add --> Group Policy Object Editor --> Add --> Finish (Local Machine) --> Close --> Ok.
3. Now navigate in the Group Policy Object Editor from Local Computer Policy --> Computer Configuration --> Administrative Templates --> Widnows Components --> Terminal Services and double-click on the 'Limit maximum Color Depth' object.
4. By default the policy is disabled and sets you to 16-bit color. Click on 'Enable' and choose either 'Client Compatible' or 24-bit to enable the highest resolution

location:

Hello Friends
I have the latest (with all necessary updates) version of Virtual PC and XP Mode. I am running Windows 7 Enterprise.
The XP virtual machine seems to work fine, except for the internet
I tried the VPN connection, and tried the network adapter card, but still I can not get Internet on the XP Virtual Machine.
I did a lot of Google searching, but got no where. I would greatly appreciate any help.
Thank You.

xp mode support

Posting this here as I'd like to still be able to use windows xp mode. There are 2 reasons why I like XP mode, 1 is that I have some professional study material by a company that no longer exists that only works with windows xp. Second, I remote into
work and the AT&T Global Network Client causes some networking issue in my home network. Therefore I'd liked to isolate this running software in an isolated environment to minimize its impact on my system. When trying to install XP Mode, the validation tool
does not run as it says its not applicable to my system.

How to skillfully shut down an XP Mode "virtual" application
location:
7forums.com - date:
October 30, 2012
Hi Everyone,
I am using Windows 7 x64 Professional, and in order to run an old application I have installed XP Mode.
I launch the application directly through XP Mode rather than manually running an XP OS instance (and then subsequently loading the old program once XP loads). What this means is that my old program once loaded looks like a standard program with minimize, maximize, and close (red cross) buttons (with the one minor exception being that the program buttons look like XP rather than Windows 7 - please see below).
If I click on the standard "red cross" to shut the program down, although the program is no longer on screen it is still in memory. I know this because every time that I restart or shutdown my compu

XP Mode and Virtual PC not showing in Start Menu or All Programs???
location:
7forums.com - date:
April 3, 2013
Just built this Windows 7 64-Bit desktop machine with a 3 GHz Intel i5 CPU, an Intel DB75EN mobo, and 16 GB of RAM.
I installed XP Mode and Virtual PC, but they do not appear in the Start Menu or under All Programs. They also do not appear under installed programs, or when I do a search for XP.
Yet when I try to install them again, it says they are already installed.
I recently did this on my notebook PC so I know what it should look like.
I cannot find any settings in the BIOS for virtualization.
Can anyone help me figure out what is happening here?
Thank you for your help.

xp mode keeps crashing in blue screen
location:

Hallo together,
I installed the XP Mode on my Windows 7 Professional machine. First, everything went fine; the programs I needed the xp mode for ran w/o any problems.
Since one start of ie (or better Win update) the machine (not only the xp mode) keeps on crashing in the same bluescreen.
The shown Stop Error is the same every time:
0x0000007f (0x00000008 0x807EB750 0x00000000 0x00000000)
I tested the RAM by using memtest - no errors.
The other hardware seems OK, too. An enable/disable function of virtualization is not available in the Bios.
My System:
AMD Athlon ii x2 240 2,8Ghz
4GB RAM DDR2 800
Mainboard Foxconn A7GM-S 2.0
Graphic NViDiA 9400 GT
2x WD IDE HDD
SATA DVD-ROM und DVD-RAM
I uninstalled/reinstalled Virt
