Windows XP Mode Fails to complete Setup Win 7 Ult 64-bit

I recently set up a new computer, and managed to get a copy of Win 7 Ultimate. However, I get an ambiguous error when I attempt to set up the Windows XP Mode. I'm able to boot a virtual machine, and my CPU's VM options are turned on. Here's my comp specs: MB: ASUS M5A97 AM3+ chipset CPU: AMD FX-6100 six-core HD: 60 GB SSD (windows) HD2: 1 TB (for data) HD3: 1.5 TB (more data) OS: Windows 7 Ultimate Edition 64-bit What I have tried so far: Uninstalling and reinstalling the XP Mode and VM update, installing the VM update first, then the XP Mode. Does it matter where on the HD I create the Windows XP Mode, and does it have to be on the same drive as the Win 7 install? What size exactly in bites is the Windows XP Mode install

Download XP Mode from a different computer

I need to download XP mode for one of our Windows 7 Professional computers. However, our development workstations are not allowed directly on the internet for security reasons. I'm trying to download it from another computer and transfer it, but I can't get the download to go (since it's not a Windows 7 computer). Is there a stand-alone installer, or some other method of doing this?

Get XP-Mode working after restoring Windows 7 system drive image

Hi everyone. Although I’ve been a member of Langa’s List and Windows Secrets for ages, it’s my 1st time posting in this forum. Would appreciate some guidance on Disk Imaging of my XP-Mode files. Currently, I create/update a system disk image (C: drive) about every 3 months on my system (Windows 7 Pro 32-bit) – 3 hard disks with about 5 partitions in each. I have recently created a new Disk Image of my C: drive after installing XP-Mode with Virtual PC. The XP-Mode files are in my C: drive and the VHD file on my M: drive My question is : if after making changes to the VHD file (whilst running XP-Mode), I then restore the recently created image of my system C: partition – will it affect the functioning of the XP-Mode VHD. How do I increase the memory in the Windows XP Mode running on Windows 7? It is showing 512mb ram at the moment but on my laptop I have 4gb ram. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Windows 7 Professional with Virtual XP Mode RAM problem

I am running some of my old programs such as Autocad 2000i for XP in the virtual XP mode. They are running pretty slow so I opened the Virtual XP setting in the Windows 7 mode and checked the memory for the XP mode, all that is allocated for it is 512MB of RAM and is shaded out. It says in the same window that there is 2551MB of available memory and that text is also shaded out. Is there a way to get the shaded areas active to increase the RAM and if so how much can I increase to without causing other problems.

Windows xp mode wont install Error 2203

 I have Downloaded and uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times now and i think i am on a mission impossible. Running win7 64 bit ultimate. I have not found any useful information as to the reason for the 2203 error. Some sites refer to this as an installer problem yet i have installed many programs with no errors at all. Any help or clues for this issue would be great...thanks in advance

XP mode in Windows 7 reboots when accessing drives other than XP mode C drive

With integration features enabled in Windows 7 XP mode, I was able to access floppy, USB, Windows 7 C: drives. In the last few days, I was no longer able to do that. When I try to access these drives, XP mode reboots every time. Can someone help?
