right-click, delete, does NOT cause confirmation dialog box

I have since added an old IDE drive to my Windows 7 PC. When I right-click a file to delete it, on the right-click context popup menu, there is a little blue/yellow shield next to delete and rename. This shield is NOT present on the SATA Windows 7 drive.
So, I read and find that if you right-click Recycling Bin, there's an option to prompt the delete confirmation dialog. It was already checked. But, the Bin had stuff in it so I emptied it.
Now when I right-click on the IDE drive, it still has the little blue/yellow but at least I get the delete confirmation prompt.
This is likely the first time I've delete something from the IDE drive AND emptied the Recycling bin.\
I assume the shield has something to dow with security/permissions

Right click context menu not Aero enabled

When I right click on a certain icon (eg Computer, Firefox shortcut...) the menu looks low graph and old style, like on XP e.g. and Aero is enabled. But when I rightclick on my desktop the buttons and the menu seem normal.
Anyway I can fix this?

Right Click Jump List Not Working

I cannot get the jump list to work for Media Player and Messenger at all. It works for IE and windows explorer but not for these two at all. Does not work for them in the start menu either. Any ideas?
I have tried a repair install but has not fixed the issue.

Windows explorer constantly not responding on right click

Hi guys
Just got a new laptop and everything was running fine until recently when I noticed that everytime I right click on the desk top to refresh or click "gadgets" or "screen resolution" windows explorer will freeze up on me and I have to restart it. Also happened when I was trying to right click paste something into a folder.
Now it happens almost all the time when I do the above. What's wrong and what can I do?

How do I delete a shotcut from yahoo toolbar that does not show up on my toolbar apps? I recently bought an item from Amazon and a couple of days later the shortcut for Amazon was in my toolbar which I did not put there. And as i say it does not show up on my toll bar apps.

Explorer not refreshing/right click menu reset

Today i noticed something that is bugging the hell out of me. First, my desktop or explorer was freezing everytime i tried to create a new folder, restarting fixes this for awhile.
Now when i restart, after lets say a half hour, windows stops refreshing itsself. I have to manually do it, if i delete a folder, move or create one i have to refresh to see it is there or gone.
Another thing i noticed, i tried to extract some files using winrar and the right click settings are gone, i used to be able to right click and extract, or right click and scan a folder with my anti virus and all that is missing.
I just formatted about a week ago...just got all of my games install i do not want to format again, it was very time consuming installing

I'm running IE9 on W7x64, and I can't get any response when I right click to download a pic, or 'Save Target As'.
I've checked all the internet options advanced tab items, but I can't see anything relevant.
Anyone got any ideas?

Hi, Go to Windows Help and Support. In the "Mouse and keyboard: What's new in Windows 8 Release Preview" the document says the following: Get to commands and context menus. Right-click in open space for more general commands, like New and Refresh.
Is this on the Start Screen, or on the desktop, or where? I can't get it to work with the mouse. It would be good to see a list of all the Windows Key Shortcuts as the document suggests. I was expecting something like: All charms: Windows logo key +C
Search charm: Windows logo key +Q Share charm: Windows logo key +H Start charm: Windows logo key Devices c

New stuff not showing up in right-click menu

Hello, I have a problem.
Winrar show up with its right click menu items (like extract and stuff).
Xnview and Winmount (which are both Windows 7 compatible) dont show up. Now I know this might be a problem related to the programs and not Windows 7, but I still find it odd that both apps dont work. Is there any "area" in windows where one can check how custom right click menues work, something like maybe "make sure that registry key xxx is set to 1"?
Allthough, like I said, as winrar is working it is probably related to the apps, but I just wanted to get any ideas thrown at me here of what the problem could be.
