Right now I cannot get my Windows 7 Enterprise x64 to boot up. I get to the "Starting Windows" screen and it just hangs there.
General troubleshooting:
Unplugged all USB devices on start up
Reset BIOS to default settings
Here are some troubleshooting steps I have taken so far:
1. Attempt to boot into safe mode (pressing f8 on startup)
result: While loading files the system stops and hangs after loading
Windows\system32\DRIVERS\AtiPcie.sys
2. Attempt to repair computer from safe mode menu (f8)

Cannot boot or repair Windows 7 x64; error 0xc0000225
location:

September 27, 2012
Hi. I desperately need help recovering Windows 7. I am receiving the following error:
0xc0000225
I have an Asus Zenbook ultrabook without a optical drive. However, I have attempted to create a recovery USB stick a dozen or so times with both recovery and Windows 7 ISOs I downloaded. It loads but every single time I receive a message that it is 'not compatible' with my version of Windows. My windows license says I have 'Windows 7 Home Prem OA for Asus'. My only thought is that 'for Asus' is the problem here, but I really have no idea.
I can also load a copy of Ubuntu I have on another USB stick, but I am not educated enough to understand how I can fix this problem from within Linux either, without step by step instructions.

Windows 7 x64 freezes freezing iTunes iPod iPhone iPad sync [SOLVED]
Ok..... this one had me really tearing my hair out. For months, trying to get iTunes to "see" my Apple iPhone on my Windows 7 x64 system was like pulling teeth. But I've finally got it to work with a compatibility workaround!
Symptoms:
1) Start iTunes
2) Plug in iPhone
3) iTunes freezes for at least 5 minutes or longer
4) iTunes becomes responsive but no iPhone is recognised (thus no sync can happen)
This would also happen with 1) & 2) reversed (i.e. plugin phone (which Windows 7 x64 recognises immediately)) and then start iTunes. Same freeze up/lock up for 5 mins or longer.
What I tried:
I'd love to bill Apple f

bluetooth driver, windows 7, x64, mini usb bluetooth dongle
location:

I bought a bluetooth dongle from ebay (those really cheap ones). It doesn't come with software/drivers. I plugged it in my windows vista laptop and it worked smoothly. When I plug it in my windows 7 x64 laptop, it says "Unknown device," "USB device
not recognized." Where can I find the right drivers for this bluetooth dongle?
Few screenshots are as follows:

Windows 7 X64 (64-bit) driver for Microtek ScanMaker Scanners
location:
7forums.com - date:
December 7, 2010
There is a thread here - win 7 64 drivers for microtek scanmaker 3840 - that briefly notes using the Microtek ArtixScanDI 1210 (Win 7 64-bit) driver for a ScanMaker 3840 scanner.
Microtek does not provide 64-bit drivers for the ScanMaker series of scanners. (Evidently they expect one to replace a perfectly good, working scanner with a new model when one updates the OS. But, it seems one doesn't have to trash his ScanMaker because the ArtixScanDI 1210 (Windows 7 64-bit) driver will work with the USB ScanMaker series of scanners; at least it works with my ScanMaker 5900, as well as the previously reported 3840 -- I suspect it will work with others, too.
To flesh things out:
1. Boot up Windows 7.*
2. Make a new directory, say, "sc

Any reason to use Readyboost on Windows 7 X64 with 8GB?
location:
7forums.com - date:
July 18, 2009
Ive been reading about how windows 7 is supposed to improve and remove the restrictions of the readyboost that was in windows.
My question is if its even worth it on an X64 system with 8GB DDR3 RAM?
Would it improve the system speed even more having stuff cached right on the usb?
I have a 4GB sitting around here I would need to clean off but wanted to know what your thoughts were?

Original Xbox Controller in Windows 7 x64
location:

All help is appreciated
Here’s the scoop:
I’ve tried everything to get my wired Xbox controller (orig.) to work in Win 7. Sadly I’ve only be able to get it to work as a one off fluke. That fluke occured while I was following Deludeds WKD tut. at http://forums.extremeoverclocking.co...d.php?t=325566.
After hours of installing/uninstalling progs/drivers I plugged in my controller Windows recognised it and installed the drivers. After a quick happy dance I opened up XBCD and verified that all buttons worked. I then unplugged the device secured my wiring and when I plugged it back in it was unrecognised. Now
nothing I seem to do can bring it back up.
So I’ve uninstalled everything, double checked the wiring and now I’m going to

Internet Explorer 10 fails to work on my Windows 7 x64 machine
location:

I am having tremendous difficulty getting the new Internet Explorer to work. The installation process works flawlessly but once I click the IE icon, a brief white box (I assume this is the outline of the actual browser) pops up and then disappears. These are the steps I have taken so far to resolve the issue: I initially received IE 10 through Windows Update. I had to uninstall the Update to get IE9 back, which operated fine. I performed a direct download from the IE website. I had the same results as the version from Windows Update. I attempted to install IE 10 with the clean boot method and this failed as well. These are the Diagnostics results: I ran SFC /scannow which detected no issues. The Reliability History under Action
