Remote Desktop Connection Problem

Hi everyone,
I'm having some trouble with remote desktop connection. I have succesfully configured my desktop to remotely access it. But everytime I start up remote desktop connection it prompts me to "Save File As ... *.xps". The application is driven by the mstsc.exe process, so it starts up when I start my remote session. If I try to save it, it immediately prompts me again for the same thing. Also my One Note Application starts up on my client pc (Laptop) and is also triggered by the RDP connection process.
Any help how to resolve this would be great!!
Here is what I have already tried:
- Tried to just end the Save As .. Application thru windows task manager, but since it is driven by the mstsc.exe, It also close

Remote desktop connection problem

Hi, not sure where to post this, but here it goes:
When I try to connect to another computer using the remote desktop connection feature in Windows 7 (the other computer still being on Vista), I get the error "Your computer could not connect to another console session on the remote computer because you already have a console session in progress.".
Here, I can see when I go to the task manager, in the Users tab, that I'm the only user currently active, and having a console session as type of session. Then if I right click and choose log off or disconnect, I get to go to the windows login screen, the one we put our password in when we start the computer.
So, guys, How to I make it so I can use the remote desktop connection a

Remote Desktop Connection Password Problem

Hi All.
I'm really having a hard time configuring Remote Desktop Connection.
I'm trying to set up a session between my laptop at work(Windows 7 Home Premium) and my PC at home(Windows 7 Ultimate). Now the settings are fine ('Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer' and 'Allow connections from computers running any version of remote desktop' are ticked, on both systems).
Now for the Computer: and Username: I have:
Computer: ip of remote PC (Home PC)
User Name: PC-Name\Account Name
Now the problem is when I want to log into the remote account(at home), It keeps telling me I have the wrong username and password, although it is the right and only one.
What to do? Thanks

a message kept saying that the connection had broken and I couldn't access my files. Any ideas what could be wrong?

"Remote Desktop connection has stopped working." problem in Windows 7.

When I try to connect to any of my Windows 2003 Servers from my Windows 7 Ultimate pc I get an error:
"Remote Desktop connection has stopped working". It has something to do with the NLAapi.dll. If I rename this dll, TS works fine. I used the dll from another computer running Windows 7 RC and it also works, but in either one of these two cases, while it fixes
the TS connection, it causes other errors, maily with the Network and Sharing center. Long story short, I think there is a bug with nlaapi.dll. I can connect fine to the servers from my Windows XP SP3 boxes. I ran all the updates on my 2k3 box, but still does
not work.
Here is the log from the Event Viewer:
Faulting application name: mstsc.exe, version: 6.1.7600.16385, ti

Problem with Remote Desktop Connection on Windows 7

On my Windows 7 machine, when I try to use remote desktop connection, after entering the password it waits for a couple of seconds and then crashes with the message: Remote Deskptop Connection has stopped working. My work around was to use RDC in Windows
XP virtual machine. I am working on a new project where I need access to a VPS running Windows Server 2012 which does not allow connections from Windows XP. I have disabled most of the Local Resources in RDC but no luck.

Remote Desktop Connection: printer not redirecting
location:

I have a situation where two XP PCs are running Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection 7.0 each to connect to a (separate!) Windows 7 PC.
Each of the XP PCs has a directly-attached printer, one an HP Deskjet and the other a Brother Laser, each of which is shared on the WorkGroup in which both XP PCs are members.
All the MSTSC options are set so that, when connected to their corresponding Windows 7 PC, they should be able to print on either of the 'home' printers, by the usual automatic printer redirection method which RDC provides.
However, only the HP DeskJet appears in the Devices and Printers window on the Windows 7 PCs.
The only way I can get the Brother printer to appear on the Windows 7 PCs is to connect to it as \\XPpc1\Brot
