Solution
I fixed this by restoring my complete hard drive from a two week old back up - I do this every week but wanted to be sure I was clear of the problem by going back one week more. The blue tooth adapter was visible again and although the keyboard didnt work this
time I was able to remove it from devices and then re-install worked!

I have asked about this once and posted more information (maybe too much!) and no further reply. I have windows 8 pro (it was a clean install and has worked fine for several months) Until last week I was using a logitech bluetooth keyboard with a generic

help! Dolby Audio Driver not working after 8.1 update
location:
8forums.com - date:
October 24, 2013
I updated to 8.1 because supposedly, it was to offer features similar to win 7. Instead, it's even worse than win 8. Now, the sound quality on my laptop is lousy because the Dolby Audio driver receives an error message and isn't working. I went to Lenovo (I have a Ideapad N Series 580) and followed these instructions from Lenovo and microsoft, which unfortunately didn't help. I'm still getting the same error message. I wish I had never heard of windows 8.1! Many have had this same problem after installing 8.1. HELP!
This instructions are from Answers.Microsoft, but didn't work.
Open Device Manager. (Right-click on the Start button and choose Device Manager).
Expand the Sound, Video and Games Controllers section.

I have recently built a Windows based Media /File server and installed 8.1. On running the trouble shooter it informs me that there is something wrong with the Hi/Def. driver and that trouble shooter can not fix the problem. Even after downloading the
driver again I still get the same message. If it makes any difference, I have a Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro installed along with the correct and up to date software. Please help.

Can't start Dolby Audio driver after upgrading to Windows 8.1
location:
microsoft.com - date:
October 18, 2013
Lenovo U410 wirh Windows 8 pre-installed.
Upgrade to 8.1 went flawlessly, but every time I re-start or boot up the machine I get this:
I've uninstalled and re-installed Dolby Home Theater, done an extensive local and web search about this.
There appears to be NO mention on my machine anywhere for a Dolby Audio Driver" or anything that uses it.
I've been on the Lenovo forum and there's a thread there that says to disable driver signature, which I've done to no effect.
I still get this message.
Can anyone throw any light on this?

Windows Update causes error code 52 for audio driver in Device Manager
location:
7forums.com - date:
January 22, 2014
Hello. I installed a few recommended Windows Updates on 1/15. After the update, install, and computer refresh though, my audio stopped working. I went to Control Panel and tried opening up my audio driver, HT Omega Claro Halo, but the driver wouldn't open. I then checked my Device Manager and found the oh so fun error code 52 associated with my Claro Halo audio driver. You know, the one that says,
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"
I then rolled back my C drive to a previous restore point I m

Major issues with Nvidia Device Drivers (SP36213.exe) for my HP Pavillion TX 2050EA laptop
location:
microsoft.com - date:
December 25, 2012
Hello,
I upgraded to Windows 8 Pro yesterday and seem to be having issues with installing the graphics card drivers. As one would expect, Windows 8 locates the device and the associated driver pack through Windows Update. For some reason however, when running the
.exe, the application closes down before getting to the installation screen.
I have installing some other drivers from the HP website (the 6150 go drivers), these install but after a restart, my Win 8 start screen tiles vanish (and I mean all of them) making the laptop useless.
I have no idea how to fix this issue and I find it extremely frustrating, especially as I've paid for an upgrade you'd think is seamless.
Any help anyone ca

USB generic audio driver Line level input
location:
7forums.com - date:
December 27, 2010
How do you force the generic USB audio driver in Windows 7 to operate at LINE level instead of microphone level? My Audio Technica Turntable uses the generic driver and I have to run the microphone level all the way down to 4 (out of 100) in order to get the proper level. The old XP driver had a line-level selection tab but no such option in Windows 7.
