Random BSOD's on Windows 7 HP x64 (clean installed)
location:

Hi there folks,
I am desperate and thats why I have turned here for help.
I am getting random BSOD's on a computer with clean windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits installed.
I tried 32 bits aswell to rule 64bit incompatability out.
also installed all newest drivers on both installs (from IC-manufacturers websites)
Also tried with Acer's drivers supplied, but they were all outdated..
So went on and went to Atheros, Intel etc etc.
No help in it anyways at last. BIOS is also updated to the latest version supplied by Acer.
I tried replacing harddrive (tried 2 different)
I tried replacing RAM-modules (tried 3 different modules and both slots)
Also runned Primetest and HDD Diagnostics for both harddrives, memtest on all RAM-modules (20+ times each ove

Have spent all afternoon trying to sort this and am close to giving up but thought I would post some logs in here in one last attempt. Have completed all important and optional Windows updates but the installation of IE10 fails everytime with error 9C59. Have tried manual download and same issues.
SFC scan has no issues.
CBS logs attached if anyone has any bright ideas. Please let me know if you require any more information.

Installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 instead of Professional x64
location:
7forums.com - date:

Hi!
I bought a a serial key of Windows 7 Professional x64, but I accidentally have installed Ultimate x64. And I spent 2 weeks setting up my computer, installing soft-wares, games and other stuff. And now I figured out that the key of Professional x64 wont work on Ultimate. Is there any way to shift it to Windows 7 Professional x64 without affecting all the files and settings.
Regards.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64 - Installed memory 4GB (3GB usable)
location:

I have installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64. In System Properties, Windows tells me I have 4Gb RAM but only 3Gb is usable, displayed in the following format:
Installed memory (RAM): 4.00 GB (3.00 GB usable)
Previous to this installation, I had Vista Ultimate x64 installed and that always showed 4GB and all of it was usuable. What is it about Windows 7 that has changed this? If this is indeed a problem caused by BIOS settings, I have not altered them in any
way so does this mean that Windows 7 changes the BIOS settings at the point of install?
I do not believe this to be related to some memory being allocated to my Graphics Card, it already has 512MB of dedicated memory. Why would Windows 7 assign it another 1GB of RAM, giving me a total

Problems Installing Windows 7 Ultimate x64
location:
7forums.com - date:
January 24, 2013
Hello, everyone. This is my first post as well as my first question on this forum.
I bought an ASUS N56VZ a month ago, pre-installed with Windows 8 Single Language x64 which I do not like. I have been trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate x64 every since the first day I bought this notebook, I have done everything I could, but everything has failed. Now, I have come up with a plan, and I am going to post it here, along with my problems, and see if my plan will work.
My problem now is that I have a 1TB WD hard disk (GPT partition style) with 5 partitions and 222.51GB of unallocated volume. These are the partitions:
1. 300MB EFI System Partition
2. 600MB Recovery Partition
3. 150GB partition (Windows 8)
4. 537.9GB of storage space
5. 20G

Play To Not Working on Windows 7 Ultimate x64
location:

I am able to play music on my system (WIN7-1) locally using WMP. Roku media player is able to connect to my WIN7-1 library and play my music. From a second Window 7 system (WIN7-2) I can "Play to" my WIN7-1 WMP and stream music to WIN7-1. WIN7-2 can also
"Play to" my Roku media player. What I can't do is use WIN7-1 to "Play to" my Roku media player or "Play to" my WIN7-2 WMP.
When I select "Play to" on my WIN7-1 system the play dialog opens for less than a second then disappears. The "busy" cursor also appears for about 3 seconds. No music is played and no activity is seen on the remote players. The music I am attempting to play
from WIN7-1 is on the WIN7-1 local hard drive and is from the sample music supplied wi
