Sharing a Folder with an XP machine.

I'm not sure what's going on here, everything appears to be setup correctly.
I have gone through my Network and Sharing Center in Windows 7RC and turned everything on except Password Protected Sharing.
I have joined both Windows 7 and Xp machines into WORKGROUP.
I can access my Public folder and my shared printer from my Windows 7 machine on my XP machine.
I'm trying to share my Mp3 folder, thats on a secondary HDD in my Windows 7 machine. Path being "E:\Stuff\Mp3z". No matter what I change as far as permissions, adding HomeGroupuser$ to the Advanced Sharing dialog...everything I've tried, my XP machine can see the share, but I get the ".......is not accessable. You may not have permissions...." error in XP

location:

Hi
I have two machines . Machine A [Windows XP Professional - Servicepace 3] and Machine B [Windows 7 Enterprise] and both machines are in the same domain. I shared a folder in
XP machine to Everyone with 'Read' permission. This folder contains many sub folders and files. Now all the folders and files in the shared path are able read by all users from all machines. Now I need to give a
delete permission to a particular user [Say user1] to a particular sub folder inside the shared folder. For that i selected that particular folder and in security tab i added user1 and gave the full permission. I logged in to windows 7 machine
as User1. When i opened the particula

xla xls addins macros (Excel/XP)
location:

Moderator: I'm posting here because this seems like a "deployment" issue rather than an end-user; the thread may be better housed in Excel?
I think I've managed to boil it all down to two sentences, after all these years:
(a) VBA code which I intend to be used as Function Procedures available to developers is savedAs an XLA and goes in the Addins folder (on my system "Cocuments and SettingsChris GreavesApplication DataMicrosoftAddIns").
(b) VBA code which I intend to be used as Subroutine Procedures with no arguments ("macros") available to end-users is saved as XLS, is hidden, and goes in the Startup folder (on my system "Cocuments and SettingsChris GreavesApplication DataMicrosoftExcelXLSTART").

Doubleup of Folder Display (Windows XP)
location:
winsecrets.com - date:
January 30, 2004
Hi,
I have noticed that sometimes when using Windows Explorer, on a Windows XP PC with the folders view open, that after going into and out of folders the display of the folder doubles up, ie shows two of the folders. This sometimes is removed by refreshing, and seems to affect CD's more. Has anyone else experienced this and know the solution?
Thanks Gabriel_NZ

Error Strong name validation failed windows\ehome\ehshell.exe while trying to open Media Center on xp computer
location:

*-Original Title - Media Center errors!
Running Win XP with Media Center Edition 2002 Service Pk 3
When I try to open Media Center I get:
Stong name validation failed
windows\ehome\ehshell.exe
The file may have been tampered with or it was partially signed but not fully signed with correct private key.
and upon clicking on that I get:
cordbg.exe!a0x6B0
I have done 3 clean re-installs and after each one everything works fine until all the updates install.
I have been reading all the posts and have yet to find one that might even work. Even trying most of them.
Don't really know which sub title to look under any more.
Thank you for any help.

Paste link, zero values (Excel xp)
location:
winsecrets.com - date:
March 28, 2003
I am paste linking one sheet to another. A large area of cells like A1:Z5000. I paste link them all at once. They consist of numbers and letters but a lot of cells are blank. When i paste link to the other sheet every place that is blank is zero now. I then go to tools, options and click on zero values but then i lose all my zeros which i don't want. Some of the zeros are in the data itself and they become blanks also. Is there an alternative or am i doing something wrong? Thank you.
