Internet explorer uses bing search but anything I type in goes to blank page.  I switch to firefox or chrome they work fine.

My problem is when I am viewing something using Internet Explore, the view on my screen randomly jumps to the Windows 8 start page.  This happens on a fairly regular basis and is extremely annoying.  Can someone please help?  I am using the Windows 8 operating system, but use Stardock Startup to open my computer to the Windows 7 desktop.  I am also using a Logitech T620 wireless mouse; I am not using a touch monitor.

I had Windows 7.  I installed Windows 8 Consumer Preview Evaluation Copy.  Build 8250.  I cannot get on the internet now.  I checked out why and this message came up:  Error 651:  The modem (or other connecting device) has reported an error.  I would like to uninstall Windows 8 and go back to Windows 7.  Can I do that and how?  Please help.

After recently upgrading from win 7 home to win 8 pro, Every time I search something on the windows metro interface or open control panel in desktop mode, explorer.exe resets itself without producing any error message. As a result, i cannot access control panel or use the windows search feature. I have tried every single "solution" to this problem out there and nothing has fixed it. Indexing was reset and is now complete, i have tried sfc /scannow and no errors were detected, all windows updates have been installed/ reinstalled, and all device drivers are up to date. I have installed Windows 8 Pro on my machine (Core i5, 4GB Ram, 1GB 6850 Radeon Toxic, 1TB HDD).. I am happy using it except for one major problem i.e. Search. I am unable to search the files on my HDD!!! The apps, settings option does not appear under the search option in charm bar. Also in window explorer, there is no search option. If I go in right corner and go to search, I can search only the weather, bing, store, music, video, finance. There is no option to search app, settings which appears in other windows 8 machines. Also there is no search bar in the window explorer near the address bar. How do I get Windows 8 to search my local files, apps and settings and also get search box in window explorer?

Windows 8 M1 blank desktop wallpaper problem

Hello I just installed Windows 8 M1 (6.1.7850.0.winmain_win8m1.100922-1508_x86fre_client-enterprise_en-us.iso) on an Acer Aspire One that I have in addition to my HP and successfully activated it with Build_7850_Activator.exe Version 0.9.2.0 . The problem is the blank wallpaper desktop and a non Aero theme that keeps coming back every restart. This was happening with Windows 8 from the beginning of the installation and did not go away after activation. This problem was NOT present when Windows 7 was installed on the machine. And the wallpaper and Aero themes are available and work properly until each reboot of the system. Is there a way to make this go away and fix this issue? P.S.: I was pleasantly surprised that Window

Mail app on windows 8 is blank screen.

I tried to open the mail app on windows 8. It asked me to log into a microsoft account so I entered my email address and password, and got a blank screen, pale blue on the left, then grey, then white on the right. There is nothing else there. What do I do now? I tried running outlook 2003 but after a few day of working fine, downloading mail slowed to a snail's pace. Is it incompatible with windows 8 or can I get it to work?  Thanks.

I can connet to router but no internet connect windows 8

I have done every trouble shoot that my NEW HP envy provides however I still get a no internet connect error.  If have reset my router and verified that it is acceptable.  I can reset everything and the internet will work for no more than 30sec. I do know that the internet is capable of working as I have plugged it in with ethernet cord, but I want it wireless!!! What next!!??!!
