Network notification is a red cross when I'm connected to wifi
location:

This happens after I tried to install a bluetooth software. It failed to work as described so I uninstalled it. Now my network notification icon is always a red cross. But when I hover my mouse over it, it says I have internet access. And of course I do.
Thank you.

No network acesss, ipv4 and ipv6 not connected

Yesterday, my ethernet cable got pulled out of my laptop and I couldn't connect to the internet anymore. But on my desktop, it works perfectly fine. (I don't use wifi, if that information is also needed) I've researched several threads with similar situations, and I've tried different methods to solve the problem. There were no exclamation points next to the nic cards. I reinstalled the nic cards, I tried the winsock reset, and I did a system restore, but I'm having no luck. I also didn't make any recent changes with my anti virus software and my nic drivers look up to date. I'll greatly appreciate your help. Thank you for your time. Here's my ipconfig/ all HTML Code:

Unable to access Network Storage Device (NAS) from Wireless connected PC
location:

I have just added a Buffalo LS-XHL NAS to my Network. It is cabled to my Netgear RangeMax WPN824v3 Wireless Router. I installed the Buffalo SW on my PC that is cabled to the Wireless Router and that PC can find & access the LinkStation.
I Installed LinkNavigator SW on a second PC that has Wireless access to the Network and it can not discover the LinkStation. I am able to PING the NAS from the Wirless PC and I also have a Printer cabled to the Netgear Wireless Router and the wireless PC finds and uses the Printer just fine.
I have used the Netgear & Buffalo Forums and so far have not gotten any responses that include any suggestions of what I might change on either the Wireless Router or on the NAS that would support access

Network Icon Says I'm not Connected, but I am
location:

The network icon on my laptop (Windows 7 Starter) says I am not connected, with a red "X" through it. But in fact I am connected. This would otherwise be a minor annoyance, but when Secunia v2.0 starts up, it checks for internet connectivity, and concludes that I am not connected. How does one get the icon back to showing that I am in fact connected? Thank you!

Original Title: Windows 7 Windows XP networking problem.
I replaced a Windows XP computer on my 4 node (2 PC, 2 printer) wired network with a Windows 7 computer. When the Windows 7 computer goes into sleep mode the other computer (XP) is unable to access the internet. A message pops up that there are 2 computers
with the same IP address. If I wake up the 7 computer all is well. What's up? I am not sharing any files between the computers.

Wireless Network Connection "adapter is not connected"
location:

Hello,
After functioning properly for a long time, my wireless internet has stopped functioning. I was watching youtube while installing the user software for a new wireless printer (Canon imageCLASS MF4800 Series) from a CD. I accidently hit the CD eject which interrupted the installation. I pushed the CD back in and resumed installation, which completed quickly and all the programs it installed worked fine. After my youtube video finished I noticed that I was no longer connected to the network the bottom right indicator thing said "Not connected, No connections available."
When I try to make a network map from the control panel it says, "The adapter is not connected." I can connect to the network with an ether
