How to take a screen print on Windows 8 touch screen
location:
microsoft.com - date:
November 11, 2012
I am now the happy owner of a Microsoft Surface running Windows 8 RT. Although I have a touch keyboard, I can see no way of taking a screen print as there is not a Print Screen button. Is there a shortcut to take a screen capture using just the touch screen,
or perhaps there is a way of doing this on the touch keyboard.
Many thanks.

original title: White Screen "Active Desktop Recovery"
My screen has gone to a WHITE background with large letters proclaming "Active desktop Recovery." All of my Icons are still there and functioning fine. But when I try to click the button that says restore Active Desktop, Nothing happens and it remains
a White Screen with all the instructions, etc. I have tried everything including going to Control Panel "Display" and tried setting up my background screen again, but no luck. I have re-booted the system several times, and when it loads up the White Screen
is still there. Note: When I go to display, the background settings are NOT operational. The cursor wil

Apologies if this is in the wrong section.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1750, and the owner said that his son installed BearShare and it's been giving him complications. He told me it sometimes freezes when he tries to start the computer, and has to give it a hard shut down. I (hopefully) removed BearShare with Malwarebytes and MSE, yet I can't seem to find why it's not letting me boot up regularly.
It boots into safe mode fine, and I can access everything from there, but when I try to restart into regular mode, it just hangs after 'Starting Windows' with a black screen and active mouse cursor. I've tried various tutorials from searching "black screen, active cursor", "laptop frozen after starting windows" etc, but nothing

make Lock screen fast switch user
location:

I find it ridiculous that they split up 'Lock Screen' and Switch User screen like Windows 7.
In all previous windows, by pressing Windows+L; brings you a switch user screen which acts like a Lock Screen too.
Is there a way to make it like this? So that Lock Screens allow you to choose which user you want to log into?
I have found this that stops the annoying thing about disabling auto sign in on startup: Sign in - Show All Users or Last User in Windows 8
but this is only half a it.

screen and print hard to read
location:

Santa brought us a new Toshiba laptop with Windows 8. In some programs the screen is very difficult to read. In Belarc Advisor the print on the form is fine but the variable data specific to my machine is too tightly spaced and unclear. Printing to my Epson Printer also produces difficult text. A png of a portion of the screen is attached. I checked the screen resolution and the "Clear type" settings and they are all at the default or recommended setting. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Print Screen doesn't work
location:

Print Screen in Win 8 is supposed to be accomplished by holding down the Windows Key and then pressing the print screen key.
Doesn't work for me on my new Toshiba laptop.
Nothing is saved to My Pictures folder and nothing can be pasted into Irfanview or Paint.
Any ideas on how to fix?
