Mail App - Cannot set up 'Other account POP, IMAP'
location:

Hi, my first post on the forum - can someone help?
I can't see how to set up 'Other account POP, IMAP' in the Win 10 mail app - or rather I can see how to set up accounts and either the app is faulty or I must be missing something, because I've tried using the advanced settings as recommended in the Ten Forums tutorial on the mail app (Mail app - Add or Delete Account in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums) but I don't see anywhere to put the actual email address for the account I'm trying to set up.
Likewise if I do it step by step setup from the 'Other account POP, IMAP' link in setup although I can put the email address in this eventually gets overwritten by my username when setup is finished - I have my own domain and my host

I have Windows 7 Home Premium installed, upgraded from Vista home Premium. I've never used the Windows Fax and Scan until today. When I went into to set up a Fax Account this error pops-up:
An error occured. Please try the operation later or contact your adminstrator.
I am the only user & the administrator of this PC.
I saw a post on the Vista forum, which I tried but still have not been able to fix this problem. Please help.

IN WINDOWS 8, I CANNOT SET UP NEW EMAIL ACCOUNT ON NEW COMPUTER?
location:
microsoft.com - date:
February 24, 2013
IN WINDOWS 8, I CANNOT SET UP NEW 'MS WEBMAIL' (free email) EMAIL ACCOUNT ON NEW COMPUTER? Initially, I was able to do the process and all was going OK until the installation dialog, asked
for the type of email server I had. I entered 'POP3' & the dialog responded that the MS
webmail app does not support pop 3,
thereby I must ask my internet service –email provider to change my email to
Imap or something else. A few minutes later I was able to see that my email DOES in fact support
Imap, or whatever the installation dialog stated I needed. HOWEVER, when I went back into my installation app (software), it would NOT let me get back to the point where I was in the installation so I could install MS
webmail.&

Windows 8 Mail app update messed up my outlook.com inbox
location:
microsoft.com - date:
March 28, 2013
Hello,
After installing the very latest app updates, my Mail app shows blank mail items that I cannot delete (the trash can icon does not show up when I select them). I read somewhere that disabling the network adaptor would allow me to delete the mail items but
it's not working for this situation.
I'm having this issue on 2 computers (desktop and tablet). Here is a screenshot
https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=1EC0F193B8170EB4!2549&authkey=!AHKSNo0oqqafe7c
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is not preventing me from sending or receiving mails but it's annoying to have them there and not be able to do anything about it.
Thanks!
David

Hi all,

I am unable to connect my xbox 360 to my PC through media center. I have spent a day trying to work this out but i keep getting the "Cannot set up extender" error after entering the 8-digit code from the xbox. I have reset everything back to default to start again and need some simple 'dummy proof' help
I have tried several solutions but none of them have worked for me. Also when attempting the 'multicast and UPnP" enabling on the router, i cannot find 'multicast' on my Belkin router
It's not the Xbox, it comes up fine in the "View network and devices" map. i have also tried connecting my sisters xbox in the same method but hat had the same result. so it must

Cannot Set Up Extender error trying to connect to Xbox 360
location:
7forums.com - date:
November 8, 2012
Hi everyone, this is my first post here.
I've been trying to connect my PC to my Xbox 360 through Windows Media Center, but everytime I try to add my Xbox 360 as an extender in WMC, it fails giving me the error "Cannot Set Up Extender".
I've already tried following the steps provided here and here, but to no avail.
My Windows Firewall is disabled and I exit Kaspersky when I try to add the extender.
Besides, my Xbox 360 and my computer have no problem connecting, in fact I can play my Windows Media Player library from the Xbox 360.
Any ideas?

Windows cannot set up a homegroup on this computer - no error code
location:
7forums.com - date:

Hi guys,
So sometime within the last month or so I noticed my laptop was starting to act funny when trying to access files over the homegroup on my desktop--it was asking me for my credentials every time I restarted the computer, and wouldn't remember them even when I checked the box. As best I could tell it was using my computer's name as my domain, so when I typed in the username/password I also had to type in the "domain" of my desktop, which was simply its name.
Anyway, I didn't think much of it until recently I wanted to fix this problem, and I noticed more problems. I first removed both computers from the homegroup. Then, I tried to make a new homegroup on my laptop. But attempting this results in the error message you s

Two brand new computers with Win7 and cannot set up a homegroup
location:
microsoft.com - date:
April 16, 2010
I have a 4 month old desktop with Win7 and today got a new laptop also with Win7. I cannot set up the homegroup. I've been through troubleshooting on both computers and tried everything but no matter what... I can't get it to work.
The desktop USED to have a homegroup and it gave me a password. When I got on the laptop it never gave me the option to "join" a homegroup, only CREATE one.
the troubleshooter told me to troubleshoot the original computer and when I did that, one of the suggestions was to turn off the homegroup and create a new one. I did that and now it will not let me create a new one.
I can create a new homegroup on the laptop but the desktop doesn't see it.
Everything tells me tha
