No ethernet after latest Windows 10 update
location:
8forums.com - date:
December 11, 2015
I no Ethernet, but I do have wireless. Everything was functional on the 9th November, and messed up after the 10 November update. I checked everything, and the pcs running Windows 10 don't have Ethernet but my Windows Server 2012r2 has Ethernet just fine. I had XFINITY check everything on their end. I tried Winsock reset several times but no change.
Any suggestions or ideas? This happened on one of the builds before, and it seemed after a lot of hem- hawing they fixed whatever they did.

Slow wifi after latest major Windows 10 update
location:
microsoft.com - date:
December 10, 2015
Hi,
Since the major Windows 10 update, my wifi download and upload speed is much slower (tested ~5mbps download on wireless compared to 100mbps with ethernet cable plugged in). I have tried updating the wireless card driver, but it says it is up to date. I get
the same speed results using different browsers (Firefox and Edge). Judging by previous comments I guess this is a problem with the Realtek wireless card driver. Details are:
- Windows 10 Home version 1511
-Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC
- No antivirus or firewall running except Windows Defender
Any suggestions much appreciated
Thanks
Jason

Latest Version of AirPrint works on Windows 10
location:

From here:
How to enable AirPrint for Windows
Seems like they updated the zip package. I had been having trouble because I have an ancient Brother HL-1230 LaserJet printer, the drivers require NTVDM (16 bit support). I had to use the drivers made for XP to get the printer working, but under Windows 10 I have not been able to connect my XP system to the shared Brother printer. I can connect under Windows 8.0.
But for anyone who uses AirPrint to allow printing from their iDevices, iPhones, iPads, iPods, Apple Watch etc. - I wasn't sure if it would work under 10, it does. Just follow the instructions. They don't say it, but after you finish everything on the site, then open up Bonjour Printer Wizard and if your printer is not

location:

In the past few days I've received e-mail that contain graphics that don't show the pictures and in place is a red X and a message that the "Linked image cannot be displayed. The file may have been moved, renamed, or deleted. Verify that the link points to the correct file and location." This includes the UPS My Choice e-mail notification e-mail, one from National Geographic, and The Upworthyiest daily e-mail. Others appear to be fine. I checked my security settings regarding downloading images under File|Outlook Options|Trust Center|Automatic Downloads and the option "Don't download pictures automatically in HTML e-mail messages or RSS items" is unchecked. Not sure what other settings might effect this but again, it's o

NVIDIA graphics driver confusing update
location:
winsecrets.com - date:
July 10, 2012
The July updates for Win 7 included an update to my NVIDIA graphics driver, and all the updates were said to have been successfully installed. However, the graphics driver update is not listed in installed updates. Device Manager shows the same version as before, and when I select update driver no update is found. However, the July updates for Win 8 also included an updated driver for my NVIDIA graphics card, and that is shown in installed updates.
I went to the NVIDIA driver download page and downloaded the latest driver listed there, and installed it in Win 7, but it turned out to be the same driver I had already.
According to Device Manager, the graphics driver versions are 8.17.13.142 for Win 7 and 9.18.13.282 for Win 8.
