VM WNDA3200 network adapter drivers not compatible with windows 8
location:
8forums.com - date:
November 3, 2012
I have just upgraded to Windows 8 Pro from the Consumer Preview. I am using a Virgin Media supplied Netgear WNDA3200 network adapter to connect to a Virign Media Superhub, but the drivers for the adapter don't seem to work with the release version of Windows 8. I had the same issue with the CP of Windows 8, but was able to resolve it by downloading the 1.2 version of the WNDA3100 driver from the Netgear website. I have tried this and all the other WNDA drivers including the windows 8 beta ones, but the adapter still isn't working.
It seems odd to me that it would work in the CP, but not in the full release version of Windows 8.
If anyone has any ideas as how to go about solving this issue, they would be much appreciated. EDIT:

I appreciate any help. I am trying to install my comcast high speed internet (through ethernet using a cable modem) on a computer I just bought from someone who has windows 7 installed and the comcast message is telling me that the my operating system (windows nt 6.1) isn't meeting the minimum requirements to install and list every other prior operating system as those that meet the requirements. Is there a way I can install without having to wipe windows seven and install xp?

Upgrade Advisor says Secure Boot isn't compatible with your PC
location:

I ran the upgrade advisor and it says Secure Boot isn't compatible with your PC.
I have a Gigabyte EP45-UD3R Motherboard and all my other problems with the upgrade advisor are fixable.
Can I Install Windows 8?
I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. It seems that I don't have UEFI bios for my motherboard.
Do we have to have this in order to run Windows 8.

Windows 8 drivers not compatible with some PC games?
location:
microsoft.com - date:
November 29, 2012
Okay, so I just bought an alienware x51 desktop. Fortunately, it came with windows 8 however, whenever I play my games (Microsoft flight simulator X, Microsoft flight, and team fortress 2 from steam) they would just crash. I don't know if this is a windows
8 bug or something. My computer seems to be able to handle the games quite well at around 30 to 50 frames per second. But when I'm in the middle of playing my games at steady frames, the frames suddenly drop and my the program crashes. My computer goes back
to the home screen and a message popped up from the bottom of my taskbar saying that a video driver crashed and successfully recovered. I'm confused as to weather this is an issue with my computer or if windows 8 isn't f

Reporting activation information using VAMT 2.0
location:
8forums.com - date:
May 24, 2010
We often hear from customers asking about tools they can use to track and report activation data for Windows operating systems activated using Key Management Service (KMS) or Multiple Activation Key (MAK). Microsoft’s free Volume Activation Management Tool (VAMT) 2.0 helps you monitor KMS, MAK and even retail activation information. VAMT can provide important information on license status, and whether installed software is genuine, which can help with license compliance.
VAMT isn’t meant to replace a tool you already may be using for software asset management or license management. However, it will help you to centrally manage and monitor activation for the following products: Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 200
