Windows 7 Unidentified network, no internet access
location:

I've been googling for the past 4 hours on how to fix this darn problem, and I still haven't grasped the solution. I'm not too computer savvy but the funny thing is my 2 desktops connected to the router (wired) can get online, and my two laptops connected to the router (wired) can't get internet access at all. Any help would be much appreciated!

As so many others I've been having problems getting my pc with Windows 7 to connect to the internet. So far I've reinstalled win 7 4 times, each time encountering the same problem, no internet access and unidentified network. The fourth time I reinstalled win 7 I did have internet access for some obscure reason but have lost it again after normal reboot (I did not install drivers/updates or changed settings etc. before this reboot). I tried every trick I could find but none worked this far.
Among tricks:
system restore to the point I had access
setting static ip
setting default gateway to correct gateway
disabling ipv6
changing network adresses on ethernetcardconfig
disabling and re enabling ethernetcard
uninstalling ethernet drivers and

"Unidentified network" - No internet access (LAN)
location:

Hello there!
I'm sorry this has been posted numerous times before, but I've read through everything, but haven't yet found a fix. The problem is I get the "Unidentified network" message when I try to connect to the internet via LAN. I just built a new PC, and started getting this error. I've never used LAN before, and the same issue occurs when I try it on my laptop. Wi-Fi works fine, though. I've tried the following:
* Uninstalling, reinstalling network adapter driver
* "netsh winsock reset", "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt", "ipconfig /flushdns"
* Reverting machine settings to before the first Windows update
* Disabling IPv6
* Changing LAN cable
* Connecting to another PC
* Changing &quo

Unidentified Network: No Internet Access at all.

I have a Dell Laptop running Vista, I have maintained all the updates and for the last 4 years it has been surprisingly problem free. I got home from work yesterday and suddenly could not connect to the internet. It connected to my home network (Netgear10)
and nothing has changed. Calls it an unidentified Network. It won't connect to the internet even if I plug it into the router with an Ethernet cable. I tried the fixes on the Microsoft site and got nothing, I deleted my driver and re-installed, nothing. Now
it won't connect to a network at all, when I try to connect the process just hangs. Any help?
Thanks

Unidentified Network (No Internet Access) Windows 7 Home Premium

Hi All
I was wondering if anyone could help me with an issue I'm having with my Windows 7 HP laptop. I've recently moved into student accommodation which requires us to register for the Internet (Studentcom), and when running on Windows 7 my laptop (HP G62-107SA) cannot find the internet connection.
I've tried a number of things to remedy this - disabling Avast Shields, running a Norton Removal Tool (Norton was pre-installed when I first got it but I installed Avast instead as I've never had any problems with it), disabling Windows Firewall as well as the netsh winsock reset command (and a few others - I've been trying since Saturday to no avail so it's no wonder I can't remember some of them!)
This problem isn't just confined to my lap

I've seen the other theads on this issue and I have tried everything they suggested to fix this problem but none of them work for me. I need serious help on this. I am running on Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate
Here is my story:
I was on the internet watching a baseball game when my PC hard locked and I had no choice but to hit the reset button to reboot. After my PC came back up, the network adapter would only get Unidentified Network and I would have no internet access. Now my PC is connected directly to the Cable Modem. I did contact my ISP and did the standard troubleshooting but we determined the issue is with my PC since I hooked up my work laptop to the Cable Modem (with the same network cable of course) and it had internet access with n
