Keyboard and touchpad do not work properly after installing Windows 8.

Having some problems after upgrading for 7 to 8.
My computer is an HP ENVY 17-3270, and the issues I'm having are my keyboard acts funny and my touchpad does not work at all.
I'll try to explain the keyboard problem as best as I can. For whatever reason, the keyboard sort of jitters back and forth between typing and not typing. If I would to just type a sentence, it will accept what I type for a second, and not accept for another
second, then accept it again. Like if I would quickly type the sentence 'The cat is a cute cat', it would get 'The cat' and then skip 'is a' and then would accept 'cute cat', so all it says after I type all those words is 'The cat cute cat'. And it's not inconsistent,
this happens every time I try to type

Install Windows 8 on HP G62 Notebook

Hi there.
I'm trying to dual-boot Windows 7 and Windows 8 in the same machine.
Before doing something this risky on the host computer I tried to install Windows 8 in a VM using VirtualBox but I got an 0x0000005d error similar to the screenshot below:
which means my CPU doesn't seem to support the NX (Non-eXecute) or XD (eXecute Disabled) bit feature (or at least doesn't have it enabled).
I proceeded to check with CPU-Z and going to the model page on HP's website and both of them seem to imply that the NX feature is available for my CPU.
Here's the CPU-Z screen:
The problem is that even though I have the "Hardware Virtualization" feature enabled in the BIOS, it seems like there's no option available regarding

Windows 8 ALPS TouchPad Driver
location:
8forums.com - date:

I have good news for laptop users with built in ALPS Touchpads. Acer/Gateway (same company) have been generous to create a new driver for Windows 8 32/64-bit users.
To make sure that your ALPS Touchpad may be compatible with this new driver for Windows 8, make sure that before upgrading to Windows 8, in Windows 7 open Device Manager, check the "Mice and other pointing devices" category and your Touchpad should be listed as "ALPS Pointing-device".
If it is, then you are a candidate to install the newly released drivers. Click the link for a direct download from Gateway. The link below is for driver verison 8.100.2020.112 (Windows 8 32/64-bit) http://global-download.gateway.com/G...TEWAY&SC=PA_6G Inst

Black Screen while installing windows 8 on an HP TouchSmart IQ507
location:
microsoft.com - date:

I have been trying to install windows 8 on my HP TouchSmart IQ507 for over a week now. I have used the upgrade advisor, and the only problem that shows up is this Secure Boot thing...everything else is compatible except for Secure Boot....I have tried
to find answers but none seemed to have panned out...I have tried every trick in the book and a few more up my sleeve and I always end up with a Black screen at the end of the install...the install runs smoothly all the way up until the very last second and
then the Black screen comes up...Is there anyone out there that has had the same problem?....Is there anyone out there with a solution?.....I have never had a problem installing a Windows OS until Windows 8...Help?

I recently installed Windows 8 on an HP Pavilion a6560t. The tiles for Mail, Calendar, People, Messaging, Weather, and others do not work for me. When my wife logs in with her UserID and Password, these apps work just file. Why do you suppose?
Also Maps, SkyDrive, Photos, Finance, Sports, News, Bing, Travel and Music do not work. When I click the tile on the Start screen, the screen will fill with the app color and icon and then go back to the Start screen. The app screens remain on the upper
left margin where apps usually display themselves while open but show only the rectangular app color and identifying icon.
The right-hand apps that I installed, MS Office, Backup Genie, iTunes, Norton,

HP Testing Windows 8 On Touchpads?
location:
8forums.com - date:

In news that is hardly surprising, it seems that HP are looking to possibly reignite their attempts to get a foothold in the tablet world. But instead of using the failing Web OS platform, this time they’re looking to be more successful with Windows 8. The HP TouchPad was their first attempt at trying to conquer the tablet market, but unfortunately it failed miserably for them and after a few months on the market, HP decided to cut their loses and flog them off for little or nothing.
However it was these drastic measures which sparked a lot of interest in the TouchPad.So much so that HP decided to run another batch of them. Hardware wise it was pretty good, it’s just people weren’t too keen on adopting the Web OS. HP Testing Wind
