How to Try Windows 8 on Your iPad
location:
8forums.com - date:
April 14, 2012
With $25, an iPad and a bit of curiosity, you can try Windows 8 on a tablet right now.
Splashtop, a maker of remote desktop software, has released a $25 iPad app called Windows 8 Metro Testbed. If you’ve got Windows 8 Consumer Preview running on a PC, Splashtop’s app will stream it to your iPad, while allowing for all the same touch gestures you’d get on a proper Windows 8 tablet. For example, you can switch apps by swiping from the left side of the screen or bring up a list of options–the “Charms” bar, as Microsoft calls it–by swiping from the right.

How to replace Win 8 Pro 64-bit with Win 8 Pro 32-bit?
location:
8forums.com - date:
February 20, 2013
When I installed Win 8 Pro on an old laptop with Win 7 32-bit (dual boot configuration), I do not remember seeing an option for installing either the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 8. My System shows I have 64-bit and I am having trouble locating video drivers for my 6 year old Toshiba Satellite laptop. I found people with a similar problem on an NVidia forum and they put together a 32-bit driver version that supposedly works. I did not mean to install the 64-bit version. Is there a way to do a reinstall, but this time select Win 8 32-bit? Is there an option for it If I just do a clean reinstall?

How and when to update your system's drivers
By Fred Langa

How do I buy and download Windows 8 from Microsoft, plain and simple, with no upgrading involved?
location:

I have bought a notebook in China, with Windows 8 PRC pre-installed. This means that the Chinese version of Windows 8 reserved for the Peoples Republic of China (PRC) has been pre-installed. The English language pack does not work effectively with Windows
8 PRC. And you can't upgrade the O/S without getting a new Chinese version of Win 8 installed on your computer. If you try to upgrade, using the Win 8 Upgrade Assistant, you will automatically download another Chinese version of Win 8.
What I need, is a specific link (http://www......) where I can buy and download a custom version of Win 8 in English from Microsoft. This download, copied to a disk, I want to install on my notebook, on a freshly
