KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED(iaStorA.sys) BSOD
location:
8forums.com - date:
March 10, 2013
hey everyone,
I happen to get this BSOD after trying to access certain folders in my data drive. (D: Drive)
I ran CheckDisk because I found it was taking a very long time to access these files. I ran it and it corrected the errors. All my other hard drives had no errors.
Now i'm getting this KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED(iaStorA.sys) blue screen of death and it has happened twice.
FYI
Bios up to date, every driver is up to date, very windows update is on it. I am using an SSD as my C: drive and I only strictly use it for Windows 8, no other data besides that.
If any more information needed, let me know. Thanks in advance
File is attached...

iaStor.sys BSOD
location:
7forums.com - date:
January 31, 2013
I've been getting repeated BSODs related to iaStor recently. So far I have downloaded Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyWare, and TDSSKiller and none of them have turned up any malware, so a rootkit can presumably be ruled out. I did the scans both in and out of safe mode. I've also reinstalled the driver software and I'm still getting the BSOD. I've rooted through every iaStor BSOD related thread I could find on this forum and nothing I've tried has eliminated the problem.
Also, I don't seem to be able to attach files to my post. The attachment manager won't load.

iastor.sys BSOD, Stop 0x0000007E...
location:
7forums.com - date:
March 26, 2013
Hello All,
I am new to this forum so I hope I can explain everything well. I will not be able to attach the required dump files to this thread and I will explain below. Here is my problem:
I have a relatively new Toshiba Laptop u845w-s400 and about a week ago started getting the following BSOD:
Stop 0x0000007E (0xc0000005 0x8145B450 0x82DC8BB4 0x82DC8790)
iastor.sys 8145B450 base at 8142A000 date stamp 4e6fffb2
I tried updating the system BIOS and that did not help. I then updates the intel RAID drivers and that also did not help. I tried running tdsskiller.exe and other malware tools and they did not find anything nor did that help. I tried running chkdsk and that did not help. At that point I tried to use the Toshiba recovery

Random BSOD, iastor.sys related - error code d1
location:
7forums.com - date:
November 28, 2012
Hi all,
A couple of days ago my laptop started randomly BSODing every so often, sometimes as close as 5 minutes apart, but sometimes it stays on for a few hours.
This happens while playing games, browsing websites or even when just leaving the computer alone, I really can't see a pattern.
I've tried a few different things to resolve the issue myself:
- updating drivers to the most recent version. When upgrading the iastor.sys driver with the latest version, they error message changes slightly, but BSOD remains and frequency seems to increase
- run anti-rootkit scanner (TDSSkiller) -> negative
- chkdsk, sfc scannow, system test that comes with alienware prior to booting into windows, they all run without issues
Finally, I'v

BSOD iaStor.sys error, help!
location:
7forums.com - date:

I have an ASUS U50A, had it for about a year now. I've had Windows 7 installed the whole time and this is my first BSOD! I keep getting this error message when I try to boot the computer, even in Safe Mode:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OF_EQUAL
STOP: 0x0000007E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFF88001128D68, 0xFFFFF88001FCD798, 0xFFFFF88001FCD000)
iaStor.sys - Address FFFFF88001128D68 base at FFFFF880010DE000, Datestamp 4a287aa4
I know next to nothing about computers, so not sure if there is extraneous information in there or anything. I haven't been able to find a fix on the internet, except this one: Stop Error in IASTOR.SYS - KB Article - 311881 | Dell, and when i try that, I can't find the Drives section in the BIOS screen- perhaps it is in a diff

This new computer came along with a lot of trouble... Well... I have this error every time I run Speedfan.exe , Speedfan is a software which I change fan's speeds. Houw could I fix this problem? If there are steps along I should go please explain patiently . How could I bring here other error information?

BSOD - iaStor.sys issue
location:
7forums.com - date:
April 26, 2011
I just ran into a BSOD randomly today while studying for finals (go figure). Anyways, I have not installed any new software prior to the BSOD. Essentially, the computer froze up while reading a .pdf, so I attempted to restart the computer with no success. I started the computer in safe mode and was in the middle of running a virus scan from Malwarebytes when the BSOD occurred. Below is the error message:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
***STOP: 0x00000001 (0x0000000000000004, 0x0000000000000002, 0x00000000000000(rest is cut off), 0xFFFFF880012E5964)
***iastor.sys - Address FFFFF880012E5964 base at FFFFF880012E2000, Datestamp 4b8f2033
After receiving the message I took a look around for similar messages and tried some of the various remedies

How to solve BSOD problem in iastor.sys
location:
7forums.com - date:
April 4, 2011
I had started having this problem a week ago. I think this was one of the hardest virus. But I really didn't want to mix antivirus software because it will eventually mess OS up and make me format my HD. So I started my journey to manually fix this problem. After a couple of days, I could find a solution that worked.
Problem Description.
1. 5 or 10 seconds after login to Windows 7 64-bit, the system goes to BSOD stating a problem with iastor.sys
2. Since it happens after login, after reboot, you don't get repair option at the startup, but only safe mode options, even safe mode with command prompt, that will eventually crash at some point.
3. Even after getting recovery CD or repair option enabled, and fixing the problem with &qu
