Is it possible to purchase multiple keys for installation later? XP PRO to WIndows 8 Pro upgrade.
location:
microsoft.com - date:
January 11, 2013
I have several 10 or 15 XP PRO machines, that I want to upgrade to Windows 8 PRO using the $39.99 upgrade offer. I've already done a couple of them, using the online download feature but I don't have the time to do them all individually before the $39.99
offer runs out this month. So the question is: Can I purchase 10 or 15 keys to use later? And how do I do it? I called the 800 number but Carlos tells me you can't upgrade from XP to Windows 8 (which is not true)...so what he was telling me was false. I sure
wish you could call someone at Microsoft and talk to an ENGLISH speaking .. understanding person these days. Does anyone know?

Windows Explorer keeps crashing whenever I click on Properties for any folder or file or flash drive
location:
microsoft.com - date:
July 13, 2013
I have looked for answers everywhere but I still can't find an answer. I'm not sure when it started, it seems like it has always been doing it, but whenever I'm looking at a flash drive or a folder and try to use "properties" to see how big the folder
s or what space is left on my flash drive. Windows Explorer just shits and stops. Says it is restarting and then flashes a couple times and restarts. I have to use a different computer to see the needed information. Oh it also says that Microsoft will contact
me with a solution to the problem... NEVER happens!

Access Denied Feature transfer error when installing software Windows 7 Pro
location:
microsoft.com - date:
February 21, 2013
I am installing ScanSnap scanner software on a Windows 7 Pro computer when I get the following error:
Feature Transfer Error
Feature: ScanSnap Manager
Component: Driver
File:
Error: Access is Denied
The user is a local admin on the computer and the UAC is turned off. I have tried installing the software as the Domain Admin but I'm still getting the same error. The software installs without issues on my computer (same image), so it appears to be something
specific to this computer. There are no local security policies on the computer and none of the GPO's we use in the domain should be causing this behavior. I have turned off the AV (Forefront) but it's still not working.
Any help would be much appreciate

I am trying to upgrade iTunes to version 7. When I run the install program I get a message that the "InstallScript engine is missing, run ISScript.msi, or contact support personnel". Add/Remove Programs confirms that I have the latest Windows installer 3.1 (KB893803). After this error message I get another error message that reads, Installation of QuickTime did not complete successfully. iTunes requires QuickTime." I have QuickTime 7 installed and it seems to run properly. I have posted several times on the Apple Support forums and have not had a single reply.

Clean install with Windows 8 Pro upgrade media
location:
7forums.com - date:

In a moment of weakness, I ordered the retail Windows 8 Pro Upgrade Media from an online vendor and I received it yesterday with both 32bit,64bit media and Key.
I made a Custom install with the 64bit media on a 80GB partition created and formatted with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Windows 7 Disk Management - a clean install with DELL OEM Reinstall Disk - on my Dell lappy.
Since it was an upgrade media, I followed Brink's tutorial refreshing it after the first install. Everything went on well and Windows 8 Pro activated without any hitch.
After reading that many users who had bought the media from the vendor were able to do a clean install even on a new HDD, I decided to try it.
So I reformattedd the partition and installed the Windoes
