How to speed up netbook?

Hi my sister uses a netbook and its slow what can I do about it?
Specs are as followed:
Windows 7 starter 32bit
1GB ram
Intel Atom N2600 1.6Ghz
Now if I were to upgrade the ram to lets say 2GB will it help it out or not much? Mainly what my sister does is hulu or youtube or netflix on a 50 inch tv. It is hooked up by vga and only the tv is the main screen so the laptop goes blank.

Windows Update fails repeatedly to update SP 1 for Win 7 Starter 32 bit in my HP netbook. Get Error Code 800B0100. Also tried unsuccessfully to update directly from the Microsoft website.

How do I optimize the page file for an SSD? Windows 7 x64

Hi there.
I've been trying to figure out a way to optimize my page file on my SSD for the last few days. I keep ending up with MEMORY_MANAGEMENT errors or PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA.
I'm running an OCZ Vertex 3 128gb with only the OS and Adobe Web Design Premium suite installed on it and i'm already down to 60Gb.
The OS is automatically creating a 16GB-20GB page file on the HDD. I don't get why it's doing this because I have 16GB of RAM that barely goes past 30% usage even when I've got Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator open at the same time.
I've tried reducing the page file size to something like 4gb, and then i start getting those BSODS i mentioned, i tried moving it to my 2gb storage HDD, but I get BSODS.

How to downgrade win 7 on acer aspire one netbook

I have an old acer aspire one ZG5 which I use as a travel backup. When XP expired I installed win 7 ultimate The problem is win 7 runs very very slow. There is only 1 gb on board memory and apparently cannot be increased.
According to the memory gadget just booting up uses 98% memory and after a long time drops to 68% memory.
Any help how to downgrade win 7 to run a basic win 7 version Basic web browsing/ email/ letters etc.

How to apply nvidia color profile in windows 8 ?

So i use a nvidia driver custom color profile, problem is after i restart Windows 8, the nvidia colors reset to default, and don't work anymore in 3D fullscreen games. How i could make windows to always use nvidia colors ?
EDIT: So the problem is how i make windows 8 to accept custom nvidia driver color settings, everytime i restart windows 8 ? Because as i told the colors reset after a reboot/restart.

Hello Brink and all of you!
Third time with you (Seven, Vista and now Eight)
I just got a new PC with Windows 8 (bought by me) installed. Machine made on my design, so without branded software such as HP, Compaq, etc.. It.s a "monster PC"
Looking at the C drive (128GB SSD) I was shocked:
Used space: 76.8 GB
Free space: 34.5 GB
Capacity: 111 GB
How is it possible that the operating system only occupies 77 GB?
please give me a hand.
