How do i install windows on a netbook with no optical drive and new blank hard disk drive?

I have an hp netbook with no optical drive and the hard disk just crashed. I just got a new one but I don't know how to install windows on it. Could someone please help me know what to do?

Good day to all.
I recently purchased a couple of inexpensive netbooks that came with Windows 7 Starter. I upgraded one of those to Windows 7 Home Premium with a purchased upgrade product key. The other netbook is still in its package - never used.
I also purchased a pair of 2GB RAM sticks for the machines - the machine that I am currently using has had its RAM upgraded to 2GB.
I also have an old Asus Eee PC netbook running Windows XP Home Edition - it too, has 2GB RAM installed.
A side-by-side comparison reveals that the XP machine 'feels' a little bit snappier than the Windows 7 machine. Not much difference, but its there.

My computer is lagging. How do I optimize the memory/ram?

For example, I used to be able to have two different web browsers open at the same time, with no problem. But now, whenever I do that, both browsers run slow. Is there a way to optimize the memory/ram in windows 7? There was a way to do that in windows xp involving something called the page file. But I have no idea how to do it in windows 7.

i have recently purchased acer netbook d270..and for changing desktop background i have done several registry change...due to which my netbook starts slowing and sometimes crash..i cant undo my registry change..as i dont know how..but the problem is now i don't want to undo the registry...i want to do factory reset..it doesn't have any erecovery management neither alt + f10 at startup shows option for factory reset...plz help...

I have successfully upgraded the OS in one of my netbooks from Windows 7 starter to Windows 8 Pro via product key. It was successfully done however, I can not disable the high contrast mode. When I go to the PC settings, I see this notification:

I don't know about the factory reset, but if you download the free version of Ccleaner and install and run it I think most of your problems will go away. Be sure to select registry from the left hand menu.
