Hi
I have just downloaded and installed Sun Java from java.com: Java + You (picked the 64 bit version), but it doesn't load when an internet page is trying to use it.
I have disabled UAC and have administrative rights.
Any suggestions to make it work?
Thanks.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit installing 32-bit on my Dell Lattitude E4300
location:
7forums.com - date:
March 3, 2012
I just bought a used Dell Latitude E4300 which contains an Intel Core 2 Duo P9400 2.4GHz 64-bit processor and every time I install my copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, it installs the 32-bit version.
I have been searching for the last 24 hours online for any issues with Windows 7 64-bit and the Latitude E4300 but cannot find anything helpful for my situation; in fact I have found a couple of sites where people have installed the 64-bit version of Win 7 on thier Latitude and they are having other issues.
I have 8GB of memory in the laptop I would like to be able to utilize, but the system type says it is a 32-bit operating system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The Intel Processor Identifier utility says it is indeed a 64-bi

Frequent system lock ups (Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit)
location:

Hello,
I recently put together a new computer, everything is working fine, games run smooth, it's just I get very random system lock ups. I can't move the mouse, open task manager, or do anything. I simply have to shut down my system via the power button.
I have been trying all kinds of things to fix this, updating drivers, making sure RAM is in the right slots, checking all my connections. All of it didn't do the trick.
I did find one thing though, there was this little 4-pin power cord labelled "SPEAKER" and it was plugged into a "USB" labelled sector on the motherboard I am using. I just found this and put it into it's correct location. Could this cause system lock ups?
I'm hoping it isn't any hardware fai

Network Drive Will Not Refresh, I am using 2 Windows 7 Professional 64 bit machines and 1 Windows 7 Professional 32 bit machine on a wired Ethernet network.

I am using 2 Windows 7 Professional 64 bit machines and 1 Windows 7 Professional 32 bit machine on a wired Ethernet network.
The network works very well with one issue. When I add a new folder on one machine and try to access that new folder from another machine the new folder does not appear. I must disconnect the network drive from the machine with the new folder then map
a new drive. When I map the new drive the new folder displays in Windows Explorer on the second machine.
This is very frustrating when I want to add an email attachment file from another machine and it won't display until I disconnect and re-map the drive.
I hope this all make sense. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this issue? I don't remember this pr

Using a 3TB hard drive with Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit
location:

When I install Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on my 3tb Seagate Barracuda drive, it partitions it to 2tb of storage, leaving the remaining inaccessible. How do I use the entire drive as one partition? I've updated the BIOS, tried converting the drive to
GPT using DiskPart... When I use Seagate's disk manager, I'm able to access the remaining as another partition, but I'm hoping to be able to use the entire drive as one partition.
