How can I increase my usable RAM to 4GB in Windows 7 - 32bit?

So what this patch (http://www.tarfandestan.com/files/Patch-3-Windows-Vista-and-7.zip) done in my laptop?How it changed my usable RAM from 2.53 Gb to 3.87 Gb?
Is it reliable?I test it and now i can use 3.87 Gb of RAM completely and without any problem!
Hello Farhad,
First off, I would be suspicious of anything that's not on a Microsoft affiliated site. The patch may have increased your usable amount of RAM, or it may just be tweaking the display to make you think it did.
Second, unless you're having an issue where you're actually running out of memory, I wouldn't worry about whether you have 2.53 or 3.87 available. Windows will allocate a specific amount of RAM for your video card (whether Acer says it does or not).&nb

Hello. I just bought an ASUS A53z-NB61. Nothing in the user manual or in control panel gives the answer. Even the specifications page on the ASUS support site is unavailable. The device listed as the hdd (I think) is designated as "ST932032 5a sata disk device." I haven't had any luck finding any specs on that even. Thanks in advance.

Hi all!
I've had great help on this forum in the past but this might be a bit trickier:
I am trying to get my Canon DR-2580C scanner recognised on my Windows 7 (64-bit) laptop but with no success. It worked fine on my old Windows XP computer. This is what I have done:
(1) Installed what’s on the original set-up CD-ROM:
- ISIS & TWAIN driver for DR-2580C v1.2
- CapturePerfect: v3.0.30
- JobRegister: v2.1
- JobCore: v2.1
(2) Visited Canon Europe’s software site DR-2580C, selected ‘Windows 7’ as my operating system and downloaded the ‘Available software for DR-2580C’ namely:
- The latest ISIS & TWAIN driver for DR-2580C: v1.8 – states that Windows 7 (64-bit) is supported
- CapturePerfect Updater: v.3.1.23 – only states Win
