My brand new toshiba laptop keeps restarting on its own. It tells me it has encounter a problem n needs to restart n tell me to look up on driver irql not less or equal athw8x.sys. i have install all newest windows update n yet it does not help.
Please tell me what to do. Thank you in advance!!

Hi I recently purchased my new Samsung laptop (with Windows 8) and have been using it for a few days with no problems at all. All of a sudden I get a blue screen which has a sad face and says "system service exception (tcpip.sys)".

i have this problem 2 months ago and i think it's a Lan Card Problem ..
suddenly the network notification get the RED X after second it gets the yellow triangle and i hear vibration from my speakers and i must restart my computer to get everything ok again.
and sometimes the blue screen comes up showing DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL NETIO.sys

BSOD - page fault in nonpaged area windows 8 win32k.sys

Hello - I been having BSODs quite a few times in the last few days. It all started after I installed Office 2013 32-bit (I also had office 2010 installed at the same time). I also had installed Norton 360 and updated audible manager. Since this happened, I removed all three programs but the BSODs continued.
I ran chkdsk, it said I had a few errors and I needed to restart to get these errors fixed. I ran it again and it said I had no errors but the BSODs continued.
I had windows 7 and updated to windows 8 when it came out.
I am attaching the .zip below.

Missing Sys Tray icons

I know that this subject has been around for awhile and that fact makes Microsofts response to the problem pathetic. Each time I re-boot, I get different icons showing up. Especially problematic is the Sound icon. There is a fix for this by using MS Fixit #50229. which I have done numerous times. Whenever I go to the icon notification page, I am not able to make any manual changes. These changes are supposedly done by my administrator, who happens to be me since I am the only user and my User Account says Administrator. It is driving me crazy, especially since I can't control the sound when you go to pages like MSNBC who has ads coming up all the time. My understanding of Fixit's is that they are provided as temporary until an update or p

upgrade windows 8 Pro from XP Service Pack 3 OEMDrv.sys problem

After I upgraded from a clean Windows XP (I basically clean installed windows xp again before installing windows 8 upgrade) but after everything is complete and ready system says windows hasn't been installed probably and after some restart, reinstall
bla bla bla, it says its got something to do wit thread_handler OEMDrv.sys. And refuses to start windows, I can go to safemode.

Win 7 Pro 64 can't create a sys image backup

It says "There is not enough disk space to create the volume shadow copy on the storage location." Said location is a USB3 1 TB HDD with 902 GB of free space. The disk I wish to image is a 107GB SSHDD with 50 GB of date on it.
