location:

Hello.
Sometimes, when I use two fingers to scroll down something, the computer thinks I'm using three fingers and shows up my desktop. Anyone having the same issue?
I have a Lenovo Ideapad Flex 80C4.

Multitouch gestures / two finger scroll not working
location:
8forums.com - date:
October 27, 2012
Hi everyone, I'm new here and this is my first ever post (!) and I have a problem that I'm quite stuck with.
Yesterday I installed the 90 trial of Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation edition on my Sony Vaio laptop (model: VPCEH2N1E). Since doing so the multitouch gestures on my touchpad, that had worked pefectly on my 64-bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium, are no longer working. To be honest if I could just get two finger scrolling
back I could live with it! I've tried installing the latest 64 bit XP/Window 7 drivers from Synaptics, in desperation I've tried installing Windows 8 Synaptics drivers from HP and Lenovo and I even tried the 'two-finger-scroll' application from here two-finger-scroll - Two finger gestures for Synapti

Disabling Multi Gestures on Windows 8, specifically resizing the screen with 2 fingers
location:
microsoft.com - date:
December 9, 2012
Is there a way to disable an advanced multi-gesture in Windows 8? Specifically I am trying to disable or reduce the sensitivity of the screen resizing gesture. My son has small hands and even when he is just pointing the touchscreen picks up his other
fingers as a multi-gesture and the screen size moves all over the place.
He loves using ABCMouse.Com and Windows 8 with touch brings a new level of interaction to this educational site, but with resizing issue its basically useless.
Thanks for the advice.

boot.ini issue with win7 & XP on two drives
location:
7forums.com - date:
June 12, 2009
Hi,
My Abit IP35 Pro motherboard's BIOS allows me to select which hard drive is the primary upon boot. If I have three separate OS on each drive, I can select which one I wish to run from bios.
Up till now I have installed a new OS on a separate drive by disconnecting the other connected drives and all has gone fine. When I installed Win 7 on a blank drive, I forgot to disconnect the other two. One drive has XP the other Ubuntu Linux.
During the Win 7 setup I selected the new blank drive and installed WIN 7 on it. All went well but when I rebooted, I had a dual boot: Win 7 made a dual boot with the XP but not the Linux. I didn't want Windows to offer me the dual boot, I wanted to select that in the bios.
So after all is said & done,

networking and sharing between two computers issue
location:

I have a brand new Alienware desktop with Windows 7 home. Hooked to it is a netgear router. Upstairs I have a 2-yr old Dell Studio 15 running Windows 7 Pro. I have designated shared folders on each computer. When I open the Network library? on each computer both machines show up. I can look into the Studio and grab files from shared folders but not the other way around; I get an error message saying I need administrator permission. Both machines show the same password for the network but I have disabled password required network sharing. This has to be simple. I need to be able to swap files back and forth between them and could do so freely and simply when I had an older XP machine downstairs. I am the owner of both machines and the only o

Windows Secrets special issue on Windows 8
By Tracey Capen
Well, it's here. The most controversial version of Windows ever released is out in new PCs and as an upgrade. We won't predict the success or failure of Windows 8 (there is no shortage of tech pundits who have), but we will provide lots of helpful information on how to get started exploring the new OS.The full text of this column is posted at WindowsSecrets.com/introduction/windows-secrets-special-issue-on-windows-8/ (opens in a new window/tab).

How do I use two monitors with two video cards?
location:
7forums.com - date:
July 12, 2012
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
GPU 1: AMD Radeon 6900 series
GPU 2: AMD Radeon 7800 series
Monitors both by Asus
I'm aware you can run two monitors with a single video card. I have two unlike GPU's in my computer and I'm trying to use the second to hook up another Asus screen. I have the proper cords (I believe it's called DVI). When I hook up the monitor to the second card and enable multiple displays in control panel, both screens simply display my desktop background on both screens. I can get the mouse to move between the screens but there is nothing to click. Can someone give me a bit of help?
Thanks.
