fix error bootmgr is missing

How can I fix the bootmgr is missing error?

I accidentally switched my active partition to one without the bootmgr on it, and now I can't start my computer. There's a supervisor password on my BIOS I don't know, prohibiting me from modifying the boot order so I can boot from a USB drive and fix the error. I don't have a CD drive, so that won't work either. I was trying to see if I could dual run Android along side windows 8 and if I now choose windows from the dual boot menu I get the BOOTMGR missing error. To make matters worse I have no working CD/DVD drive.

hi i am facing this problem on my emachines d725 laptop. when I brought the computer, it does not come with a CD. when i open the computer, i see emachines logo followed by the "BOOTMGR US MISSING. Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart." This happen after I update my windows. I tried pressing F8 but it doesn't work. Please help.

I compressed my entire C drive. When I rebooted I got the error "Bootmgr is compressed" I don't have a optical drive, so I made a bootable USB drive using YUMI 0.2.3 and added the windows 7 recovery ISO. The USB drive boots and I can enter the recovery console, etc. It couldn't auto-repair the problem so I tried enterinng the following in the command prompt code: c: expand bootmgr temp attrib bootmgr –s –r –h del bootmgr ren temp bootmgr attrib bootmgr –a +s +h +r I guess "ren" didn't work or something, because now the error is "Bootmgr is MISSING". I'm having trouble installing windows 7 from my flash drive onto my netbook that runs winxp. I followed the steps from this website http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-cr.../#comment-3955 Where I used UNetbootin on my Vaio (Vista) laptop computer to burn an iso image to my flash drive. I then booted up my netbook, entered BIOS, changing the USB booting priority to the USB. However, I then get the error bessage "Error BOOTMGR is missing ctr alt del" What do I do? I have a Toshiba Note book. I was trying to perform a hard-disk partition to it. then, I turned it off. when I tried to operate it again, it didn't start. Itshowedd this message "bootmgr is missing press ctrl+alt+del to restart" The only option I had is restarting it and pressing F12 or F2 which both lead to the setup page. I looked the problem up online. and here is what I found: 1) The computer needs some sort of CD to repair or recover the system. I can't use this solution since my computer is a Note Book which means I don't have a CD Drive. 2) I can look an "system repair or recovery" option on my computer setup page. Hello, today I tried to add a new HDD to my computer which ended up making my computer unbootable. At first I had the "Restart and select proper boot device" problem, which was fixed. After that the Bootmgr is missing.
