Event ID 36888 : common when installing 3rd Party Security App?
location:
8forums.com - date:
September 7, 2012
I'm looking at a Win 8 Enterprise RTM that I just installed and have not used much. Turned off Defender and installed AVAST. I see several instances of Event ID 36888 schannel fatal error. Found a thread on social.microsoft, still fresh, not much help - seems lots of windows 8 users see this error and are fumbling around for ways to either stop it or better yet find the real culprit. I'm concerned because I was getting huge network-speed drops - something blocking the download side, not upload. Haven't found the real cause, hence the search for events and solutions.
is there a resolution for this or a recommended Root-Cause process?
secondly, whether related or not - Is there a need with 8 to patch the security framework

No BSOD Critical Error: Kernel-Power Event ID 41 (63)
location:
8forums.com - date:
January 8, 2013
I just recently built a computer in December and from the start the PSU made some clicking noises, but I didnt see it as a problem since at first there were no problems with my computer. It would restart after the first 5-10 minutes of playing league of legends. 20-30 minutes are playing Team Fortress 2. And less than an hour of playing Starcraft 2.
I looked at my event log and it was a Critical Error: Kernel-Power. Event ID 41. Task Category 63.

Probably this error is pretty much a non-issue and I haven't a clue if the affected W7P machine, even runs Windows Server 2008 R2 (or any windows server for that matter).
Is this 'server' thing, software that is by default installed (and I'm guessing it's only used when the machine networks with another machine, home/work groups)?
As for if and what version the W7P machine even 'runs', the only loosely provided instructions I've found (by clicking the event log's link to information about the error), results in a webpage... Event ID 1001
..which sort of implies to me that the W7P machine might be running 'Windows Server 2008 R2', if only because the event log error report's link led me to that web page's article, ie; the article says it

I am getting these warnings in the event viewer for about 2 days, now seems that these errors have stopped.
Look at the photo, the processor ID is 7,0,1,6.
Why i am getting those warnings ? I am using windows 8, latest updates, and drivers.
Also my PC is i7 3770k 4.5Ghz (multiplier) 1.21V PLL 1.6V, latest BIOS installed.
I tested my CPU in intel burn test, the test passed, i am using this OC profile since i bought the rig, back in march 2012, and i didn't had a single problem. No bsod, no crash in games, no shutdown, nothing.
Also, i have tested my ram (8gb black dragon geil 1866Mhz XMP) tested them on memtest bootable 4.20V and the test passed, no errors. Also, i don't have any error while using the PC normal, no crashes,

Hello, My computer has been running rather slow and laggy and I have done a basic clean up as well as running AVG security scan/Windows Defender/Disk Cleanup/Disk Defragment, no virus or spyware have been found, upon looking in the Event Viewer I have found an error that occurs some 50 times in a matter of an hour, I am not sure if this is what is causing my computer to be running slow but I could not seem to resolve the problem or really find anything about it on the Internet, here is the error report.
General: The Computer Browser service depends on the Server service which failed to start because of the following error:
The dependency service or group failed to start.

Event id 1542, User Profile Service and Missing Classes Root Key
location:
microsoft.com - date:
March 24, 2009
Hello,
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 32bit
Symptoms:
Assosications are not being kept across reboots (among others)
Details:
HKEY_USERS\HKEY_USERS\MySID_Classes is missing on reboot
Event viewer says:
Event id 1542, User Profile Service
Windows cannot load classes registry file.
DETAIL - The system cannot find the file specified.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\hivelist doesn't have an entry for
\REGISTRY\USER\MySID_Classes UsrClass.dat file
Opening the registry and manually loading the UsrClass.dat hive under the HKEY_USERS works :)
It is almost as the same as http://www.dabcc.com/article.aspx?id=9762 (exluding the outlook of course)
Thinks i have not tested: Restore mode

Event ID: 41 Kernel-Power after returning from sleep mode
location:

Hello,
This is an issue I've come cross before and it's either tiredness coupled with a drained brain or I'm with stupid at the moment.
I've noticed something quite odd on this new build, and it actually had the same problem with the old build as well. Everything in the new rig is new apart from the GFX cards which are only 5 months old, everything else is new. I put my system into sleep mode and then returned an hour or so later and then it decided restart without any warning...? When it restarted I looked at the Event logs and can see what happened as this coincides with the time the system restarted. I noticed there was a critical problem which resulted in the random restart... The cause of the problem was with sleep mode, for some re
