Random BSOD New build 0x800... event id 1001
location:
7forums.com - date:
April 25, 2013
I recently built a new pc, installed windows 7 64bit, installed mobo drivers, installed video card drivers, then got all of windows updates. I got a BSOD randomly and it rebooted to windows fine. The next day it happened again about 2 hours after boot. The second time I saw it said: Page fault in nonpaged area, but then it flashed away and rebooted before I could read more. Then last night I fell asleep downloading something and woke up to it saying it recovered from an unexpected shutdown.
Not sure if this is related but Applications are crashing as well. I get error messages such as:
Catalyst Control Center: Host application has stopped working.
McAfee service host crash
Windows Explorer has stopped working
Also Chrome crashed ver

No Hibernate and volmgr Error with Event ID 45 in System Log
location:
8forums.com - date:
September 20, 2012
This is about power management. I have not found a forum so I put it in the General Discussion.
When I installed Windows 8, I had no issues with power management whatsoever. Shortly after that I could not sleep, hibernate or shutdown my laptop computer.
I have since fixed the shutdown issue which turned out to be related to the graphics driver.
Still no hibernate mode. The system would just turn off the screen but not do anything otherwise.
I noticed the error 45 of volmgr in the event log.
The system could not sucessfully load the crash dump driver.
A Google search led me to the solution. Windows wouldn’t hibernate with Error Event ID 45: volmgr
While the above link is for Windows 7, I can confirm

Apps crash with event ID 1000, mostly exception code 0xc0000374
location:

Hi. First time posting. I've got a new PC, Windows 7 Home Premium x64. I have installed Adobe CS6 on it. Illustrator crashes at least once/day, and Microsoft Outlook 2003 crashes a few times/week also. Both list Event ID 1000.
I have uninstalled and re-installed both with no luck. There is seemingly no pattern to the crashes, sometimes occur while printing, saving, importing objects and sometimes while that program is sitting in the background.
Here is the error log for two of the crashes: Faulting application name: Illustrator.exe, version: 16.0.2.682, time stamp: 0x5056c659 Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17725, time stamp: 0x4ec4aa8e Exception code: 0xc0000374 Fault offset: 0x00000000000c40f2 Faulting process id: 0x

Windows 7 firewall service will not start. Event ID 7024
location:
7forums.com - date:
August 26, 2012
Okay, I am a pretty technical user, and I am really struggling with this issue, and I wasn't 100% sure which section to post this in. I used to share videos over my network with multiple xboxs and a ps3. I recently installed Norton Internet Security on my system, and after doing so, I was not able to stream videos anymore. I tried changing firewall settings, and permissions and such, but could not get it to work, so I uninstalled NIS from my system. After doing so, the Windows 7 firewall service will not start. If i look at the event log, it gives me Event ID 7024 : The Windows Firewall service terminated with service-specific error Access is denied.. I have run the norton removal tool, and this has not fixed the problem.

Hard disk problem - event ID 55 ?????
location:

Win 7 Home Premium on a Lenovo IdeaCenter K330B. I have every once a week or so (after waking from sleep) get this event in Event Viewer: "the file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume \device\harddisk\volumeshadowcopy16"
Last time it happened it showed volumeshadowcopy16 and 17 and 18. Source in the message is Ntfs. I have 2 hard drives, C and E. Most everything is on C drive. E is just some backup files and I don't take system restore points on it. I've run chkdsk numerous times on both drives. Nothing shows up as being a problem.
Happened yesterday and in the course of 7 seconds, I got 15 of these events, 5 for volumeshadowcopy16, 5 for 17 and 5 for 18.

Event ID 6008 Help.
location:

About a month ago I built a new pc. Everything was running at great temps(no overclock). I use HW Monitor to look at the temps. I ran Memtest86 for about 3-4hrs with no errors and ran Prime95 for about 6-7hrs and never went above 55C on stock cooling(no failures). In the span of two weeks, I have had three BSODs. All were regarding a file for my video card (atikmpag.sys). I ran driver sweep in safe mode and reinstalled the latest drivers for my card. I checked the reliability report and it keeps giving me errors regarding unexpected shutdown - Event ID 6008. I have no idea what is causing this. I click on the details in event log and there are none. I did a reinstall of windows and it keeps happening. The 6008 events did start occ
