The system was unstable and I thought it was because of some slight OC settings, but after resetting to defaults it persists.

Event ID 10 Error 0x80041003
location:
7forums.com - date:
January 24, 2010
Hello everyone.
Please excuse my ignorance as I am not that technically adept. I have concerns over these recurring error messages on my new PC.
I have searched and searched for a fix; there are just so many out there and they all appear to stem from different causes; I do not have a clue what is causing them.
Also I keep getting a "Task Host Window Error" at shutdown. Researching that led to me to find the ID 10 error in the event log. I have never put anything but genuine software on my PC 's for 15 years and always use a good anti virus.
Please help.
Many thanks in anticipation of any help available.
dan.

I seem to be plagued with this error on fresh installs, fully updated, of Ultimate x64 or x64 sp1.
I'm wondering if the solution in this kb article just stops the actual logging of the event to the event viewer or actually addresses the issue. I ask because the language here is a little misleading, and i don't know enough of vb to interpret the script. Quote:

No BSOD/memory dump, Random Freezes, Event Log Analysis, Desperate

My kingdom for a resolution! I've troubleshooted everything I can think of. My computer just randomly freezes.
I receive no BSOD either. It just stops responding, the monitor goes dead since it loses signal, yet the computer fans and HD lights continue to run. There is no response from it via mouse or keyboard however. No MEMORY.DMP files are created either.
I disabled automatic restart, so it doesn't reboot at least. Sometimes it freezes when I'm using it, other times in the middle of the night when I'm dead asleep.
To troubleshoot I've:
-Swapped out VGA cards. One seems to produce many more crashes (once or twice a day), but the other still crashes on occassion (once every couple of days) <-- could this be it? why the diffe

Today, the screen looked different and Windows 7 wa not working properly. I got this message "Failed to connect to a windows service. Windows could not connect to the System Event Notification Services service. This problem prevents limited users from
logging onto the system. As an administrator user you can review the System Event Log for details about why the services didn't respond."
Other messages about this referred to Windows Vista. I use Windows 7. Can somebody please tell me how to fix this problem?

Hi, i am having trouble connecting my camera to my PC. It works perfectly on another PC running windows 8.1 pro the same as mine. I open device manager and my device is listed under other devices as canon digital camera, though it has an exclamation mark on it.
In the properties under the general tab I see this
"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver."
I have tried un-installing the device, rebooting my machine and downloading the drivers from canon (it's an 1100D).
i have tired copying the files that show in the events tab on the other pc and manually install them but I get the following message &
