"A network error occurred while communicating with the game server. Error Code: 0x80041006"
I have seen this problem asked about many times, with no satisfactory response. Nothing new on my pc, no new background applications etc, no other programs running. It's been working fine up until yesterday. Tried many times in the last day or so, and have
gotten the 0x80041006 error many many times. In all the responses I've read, no one has even looked up the meaning of the error code. I'm thinking either a server issue or a port problem on a MS router. The error message says it's a network error!
Edit: On further reading, someone pointed out that it means "not enough memory for the operation". My quad-core laptop has 8GB ram, is freshly bo

Are you trying to connect to Microsoft Games & Cannot play Internet Backgammon, Internet Checkers, and/or Spades in Windows 7 only to get a Error Code 0x80041006 ?
This Error Code 0x80041006 Simply means Microsoft game server is Temporary down on their end.
There is No Fix, You just need to wait it out. It may take a few hours ,or it may take a day or so.
You may expect This issue to happens from time to time.
How do i know it's a server issue? I own several computers and they all are giving me the same result.
However If you happen to have Windows XP you can still play & shouldn't have any trouble at all, simply because in Windows XP they uses another game server.

Win 7 not recognising actual internet connection
location:
7forums.com - date:
July 2, 2012
Hi,
My computer doesn't recognise that I am connected to the internet. It says I am not connected but connections are available, while further down the dialogue box it shows that I am indeed connected to my router (see attached pic).
Any ideas on how to correct this problem? It's affecting my ability to connect to the Homegroup and is generally driving me insane.
Many thanks.

Win 7 64 bit + FSX = "Fatal error" & CTD / restart
location:
microsoft.com - date:
March 18, 2010
Hello,
I, like a lot of other people, am getting this error message, and certain Fatal Errors followed by CTD's when in FSX ,to the point that I've almost all but given up on ever playing FSX again.
"this feature requires that {smartassembly} is available on this computer"
I've looked on every forum, including this one, but no constructive info that has helped me so far. I've tried reinstalling windows & FSX 5 times the last couple of days, tried the uiautomationcore.dll fix., shutting down various windows services on boot
up, generally following the adivce in the other Win7 + FSX forums here. Nothing works.
The CTD's occur in flight, but also after a startup at the gates where I leave the aircraft

Downgrading from Win 8 to Win 7 - Error:0x80300024
location:
7forums.com - date:
April 2, 2013
I need assistance as I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have a dell XPS 15 L521x laptop that I am downgrading from Win 8 to Win 7. I'm installing from a DVD. I'm attempting to install Win 7 on a 120GB SSD. Windows 8 was installed on a 2.5 inch 1 tb drive.
I have followed the following instructions in red. I hit a problem at "Where do you want to install Windows". I choose my partition and click next. I get an error message at this point "Windows is unable to install to the selected location. Error:0x80300024." The Disk does show up as Disk 0 Partition1:Windows 7 and has been partitioned to 120GB. Not sure how to proceed. Boot into BIOS setup, if this is a new Win8 PC look for a setting to disable Secure
