I know about MSCONFIG.
the problem is, when you use MSCONFIG to deselect programs from starting up, you force your computer into "Safemode".
I once used a ms command that allowed me to disable \ enable all programs that start up with windows, other than MSCONFIG.
It did not force my windows into Safemode.
which command is it that allows you to disable programs from starting up with windows,
BESIDES MSCONFIG ? anyone know.?

Connection to wrong wireless network on startup of Windows 7
location:
microsoft.com - date:

I've set up my computer to automatically connect to my home network, but on startup, it instead attempts to connect to "SoftAP-C0", a network with zero signal strength that probably belongs to one of my neighbors. It is unable to connect, and displays
"waiting for users" instead of "connected" or "disconnected". I have to then disconnect from that network, manually connect to my home network, and type in the security key. Because my computer never manages to actually connect to the SoftAP network, I'm unable
to access the configuration window to disable autoconnect (if that's even what is making my computer try to connect to it in the first place.) Is there some other way to access its configurati

F8 on startup for Windows 7 (Dell Inspiron N4010) not redirecting to Advanced Boot Options!?!?
location:
microsoft.com - date:
January 15, 2011
I've tried pressing F8 repeatedly while the Dell Logo is on the screen to get to the Advanced Boot Options and I've tried holding F8 down (to a bunch of beeps). I need to get to Repair Your Computer eventually to restore the factory image of my OS. The only
thing the Dell logo screen shows during startup is the progress bar and F2 and F12, which both do not have the Repair option I need. I've tried everything by both restarting and shutting down.
Help?!

I noticed a lot of people are trying to make Core Temp start-up on Windows Vista x64 with UAC enabled and finding it constantly asks for permission to run. Here is how to get legally get around UAC. This is all tested with 0.99.3 on Vista x64. Vista x32 should work equally well. This may seem like a long post, but actually the instructions are very detailed - you should have no problem with Core Temp or any other app with the same issue (eg. Rocket Dock) in the future.
