How to remove Windows 7 From a Dual Boot with Windows 8?

How do you safely remove Windows 7 Pro (32-bit) from a dual boot with Windows 8 Pro (64-bit)? I'm quite happy with Windows 8 Pro (since I've got Start8 to give me the Start button, menus, and booting directly into the desktop).
The scenario:
Both are on the same hard drive (an SSD).
Windows 7 was on the hard drive initially. I added Windows 8 on a new partition and am ready to completely abandon Windows 7.
I have not been able to find information on how to safely remove the Windows 7 partition.
The advice I've come upon online suggests:
(1) Reformat the Windows 7 partition or delete the Windows 7 partition.
(2) Expand the Windows 8 partition to occupy the entire drive.
(3) Remove the Windows 7 choice from by going into System Co

Windows 7 dual boot to Windows 8, using Win. 8 upgrade

Trying to do something, leaves me a bit undecided if it can be done. This is a new Dell Inspiron, Windows 7 with 64 bit OS. Microsoft offered that when I bought this laptop, I could buy Windows 8, for $15, which I did. Unfortunately, even with almost 19 years of computing experience, I missed the term UPGRADE, in Microsoft's offer, and got a downloaded upgrade to Windows 8, which means over writing Windows 7, which I don't want to do. Microsoft changed Windows 8 a great deal from what I've read, so my plan had been to partition my HD, which I already did, but when I got the upgrade, I found an upgraded Win. 8, MUST be installed over the existing Windows 7. No good. I want both, Win 7 to use, and Win 8 to learn on. But I thought of this meth

Hey guys, I am having an issue when installing the consumer preview. So, I downloaded the Windows 8 iso, off of Microsoft's site. I burned it to a DVD with 4.7 GB free of storage. I even bought a new set of DVDs. Anyways, I downloaded the iso, I downloaded the USB/DVD download tool, there I burned my iso to the DVD. So, I then create a partition on my computer (I gave the new partition 200 GB of storage). I rebooted my computer, pressed F12 and access the burned DVD. So, I click custom installation, and I install the new OS, onto the partition with 200 GB. I named it the partition Windows 8, so I wouldn't get confused. I clicked it, and installed Windows 8 onto it. Anyways, once it extracts the data and installs all the updates, my compute

I guess I'm not sure why you can't find IE??? When you are in the Metro Startup screen, it's is one of the prominently displayed tiles. If you've switched to the desktop side, then it's prominently displayed in the taskbar.
Since this is a complete departure from the way things have always been done, I did spend an hour or so to read about some of the basics such as how to use the corners and how to search. Search is the easiest thing in the Metro side - you simply start typing
- no clicking on Start or anything. One of the better tutorials out there is Ed Bott's on how to personalize your Metro startup screen. That one alone taught me a lot about how to find things such as settings, apps, etc. It's
