Installing Win 7 Pro x64 from digitalriver with Win 7 Pro OA x86 Key?
location:

I have a HP Pro 3300 Series MT i3-2100 PC. It came pre-installed with Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. On the product key sticker it states 'Windows 7 Pro OA'. I have checked the 'Performance Information and Tools' section in Windows and it states that my PC is 64-bit capable.
My PC was bundled with 4 HP Recovery Manager discs, but these all state 'This disc contains 32-bit software'. I want to upgrade my RAM to 8GB so would like to install a 64-bit version of Windows 7.
I would like to know if it is possible for me to do a clean install of Windows 7 Pro 64-bit downloaded from the Digital River website and activate it with my 'Windows 7 Pro OA' product key. I am aware that a product key can be used for both 32-bit and 64-bit installations a

BSOD 1033 9f when Win 7 Pro x 64 sleeps
location:
7forums.com - date:
September 10, 2012
I've been experiencing BSODs when my computer is in Sleep mode. I really don't know what happens other than the computer is put to sleep and when I come back hours later it has suffered a BSOD and has restarted and is asking for the login.
Win 7 is up to date. Drivers have been updated (Driver Finder).
All external drives have been disconnected.
memtestx86 version 3.5b was run 6 times (fell asleep) with no errors found.
sfc /scannow was run a number of times with no integrity violations found.
chkdsk /r reported nothing
According to the problem signature info it would seem the BSOD might have something to do with Dreamweaver because when I click on the file below, Dreamweaver opens. The software is up-to-date and I disabled any add-

Windows 7 Pirated version to Legit Win 7 Pro
location:

I have a computer with a Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit operatiing system. I have taken hours setting it up only to find out that the win 7 product key was already used on another computer in my office. I have an unused Win Professional 7 64-bit I want to use. I tried simply using the new product key but of course it wouldn't take it becuase it is associated with "Pro" not "Ultimate". I don't want to do a wipe out my HD and do a clean install and undo the hours of work setting this computer up. What is the solution? Thanks in advance.

Windows 7 64 bit home premium. No results in search when I type in MSCONFIG I get nothing. No results. No MSCONFIG on system.
location:

Have been using Win7 since release candidate. On my laptop, running 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium, I want to stop a program from running at startup. Went to <START><SEARCH>, typed in MSCONFIG, and got no results. Typed in slowly MSCONFIG and at the
point I typed in MSC, results went to nothing. I have a default load of the system from the manufacturer, Toshiba, on a Satellite C655. I did a few differently worded Internet searches. Could not find any issues even relating to a user not having MSCONFIG
on their Win7 system. So, how do I ensure I have MSCONFIG on the system? Is it possible that somehow this issue is the result of Toshiba not loading MSCONFIG on these systems by def

Blank columns in task manager (Win 7 Pro x64)
location:
microsoft.com - date:
February 8, 2012
Hi everybody,
I have a recurrent problem on my Windows 7 Professional 64 bits edition, some columns remain blank in the task manager.
Some affected columns are for instance Memory, Threads, or I/O writes.
I have solved the problem a first time by creating a new user profile, then re-importing everything from the old one, it was long and tedious but it worked.
Three of four days later, it happens again and I'm really looking for a better solution. I'd actually like to know /why/ it happens.
FYI, I created a new user profile and the columns appear properly. I do not use a registry cleaner or any snake oil tool.
Thanks in advance for your insights.

Upgrade Windows 7 Starter to Home Premium
location:
7forums.com - date:
February 26, 2011
I have a Samsung Netbook which came with Windows 7 Starter and I am finding that I miss the extras of Home Premium Retail which installed on my Desktop PC. I have the Home Premium installation disk which I used, but as far as I am aware it is a single use licence. The Anytime Upgrade is available on the Samsung, but at a cost of £70 from M$.
Is anyone aware of a more cost effective (legitimate) method?
Having Googled for it, I come up with this: Microsoft Windows 7 Anytime Upgrade, Starter to Home Premium (Licence only): Amazon.co.uk: Software.
Anyone know of anywhere better?

I bought 2 Copies of Windows 8 pro and would like to ship them back to Microsoft for a technical copy of Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate.

Bought Windows 8 want to Go back to Xp but support will discontinue so Windows 7 is my only other option, Yet i don't feel as though i should buy another Operating System as windows 8 does not meet my needs! Firstly i need a system that i can delve into
and have some understanding of the inner working and Windows 7 Pro fits that bill. I was a solid Windows Xp supporter, As support is being removed as of April 2014 i am being forced to switch over to windows 7 pro. I have 2 copies of windows 8 one open one
packaged still, they will never be used, i can't afford to learn the inner workings, I really Need Windows 7 Pro? My gripe of coarse is i bought 2 Copies of Windows 8 pro and would gladly ship them back to Microsoft for a technic
