Does Windows 7 Home Premium support Remote Desktop?
location:
microsoft.com - date:
June 26, 2009
repeat:
Windows 7 Basic and Home Premium were not able to be Remote Desktop hosts and hence can ***not *** be connected from any pc via Remote Desktop Connection using mstsc command.
while any w7 PC with Ultimate, business or pro should be capable of desktop hosts and can be connected from almost any client windows pc from XP and up using windows remote desktop connection when both the host and the client are properly configured.
however for better security, you want to allow only pc with network authentication like vista, ulitmate client, windows 2008 to connect to your host windows 7 . this is the default.
btw some version of xp media pc does have remote desktop host capability

Windows 7 Media Center and remote desktop.

Good day guys!
Can someone recommend a remote desktop software or app that would allow me to remotely control resources on my HTPC (run apps, manage torrents, etc) without disrupting media center playback? Basicly make my laptop act as a second monitor to the htpc.
The laptop would be on my local network via wireless.
Thank you!
