Windows 8 style volume control for touch screen in Windows 7
location:
7forums.com - date:
December 3, 2012
Hiya everyone, I have this tablet laptop convertible thingymadoob right, by Gigabyte, a T1125P. And I was wondering if anybody had come across a nice way to change the volume using a touch screen, I tried windows 8 for a week but it kept crashing on me so i went back to Windows 7 and no problems since, but i reallly miss that volume controller XD
If anyone has seen something similar that does this sort of thing let me know. the key reason is that when in tablet mode I have no access to physical buttons on the computer except power and a Gigabyte function button that opens the Gigabyte software..
The windows volume control in Windows 7 is hard to get spot on and takes a few goes to hit, and even then it isnt so clean at changing the volume

location:

Does anyone have a recommendation for a touch screen for a desktop user thinking of getting Windows 8?
It would need to be roughly 24" diagonal 16:9 to be useful for non Win 8 applications.

Charms Bar not appearing after calibrating touch screen in Desktop mode
location:

January 11, 2013
Hi All,
Just to let Windows 8 Pro Tablet users know,
using the desktop mode to calibrate the touch screen could stop the charms bar from appearing.
Just this is a bug that Microsoft missed.
Anybody else have tried and have the same issue?
Thanks
Kenny

Deactivate Charms Bar on Touch Screen
location:
8forums.com - date:

Hey you all,
I googled and searched this forum for information on the title topic, but none of the advice could help me out.
My problem is not the charms bar, that activates when touching the mouse (touch) pad, but the same charms bar, that appears when touching the screen on my tablet.
Does anyone have an answer to that? You can disabuse me and show me a website or a forum link but after 4 hours of research I am done for now.
I would be very thankful for your advice!
Best regards,
Roger

Touch screen, mouse, keyboard not responding / backup dvd purchase failed
location:

Hello,
As of this evening, my desktop (an Acer All-in-One upgraded to Windows 8 from Windows 7) has suddenly stopped responding to all forms of input - I can't get the touch screen, the keyboard, or the mouse to react at all. The light on the wireless detector
doesn't light up, but it's a problem with the computer - the keyboard and mouse both work fine on other computers. The computer seems to start up just fine apart from that... I just can't do anything with it.
I would like to try doing a clean install, but I can't without something to boot from. Just now I tried purchasing a backup copy, and my payment went through, but I got a message saying that the order description / confirmation was not available, and
I haven
