nvidia 210 gt driver update 314.22 will not install on win.8 pro 64 bit

I just recently purchased win 8 pro for 199.00 and that's too much from best buy and at the same time I bought an NVidia 610 for 150.00 what my question is I have 4 gig. ram and a 3 gig GH proc. NVidia is trying to give me an update driver 314.22 but it wont install I have a 42" lg. tv/monitor and I cant get my true hd. with the win drivers but im having difficulties getting the drivers in I paid way too much for win 8 not to be able to get the proper drivers and for some reason win 8 is way too slow and no I don't have a bunch of programs running and no win media center that should have came with pro I would have went back to 7 and kept 7 but they don't sell them anymore so can somebody help me figure out why this driver 314.22 wo

Updates will not install on Windows 8

Hello.  I just bought a new Lenovo T430 with Windows 8.  It will not install the Windows Updates it downloads.  It stays it has to be shut down and it will install and then it tries and tries.  Gets up to 15% each time and then finally says it has to revert the changes. Has anyone else encountered this problem with W8 so far?  XP used to be so easy.  :( Thank you for any suggestions.  I called Lenovo and they said it was a MS Windows problem, not theirs.  BTW, Lenovo support is not very user-friendly.  Hard to understand due to their language and so far, out of four or five calls, they've been pretty nasty sounding/annoyed that I bothered to call.  Not too happy about that.
