Connecting 2 PCs to the Internet via 1 cable modem

Hi, I have 2 computers and 1 cable modem (with of course a cable I.S.P.). Both computers need to connect to the Internet. Is this possible simply via a hub (e.g., http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg.../-/B00000J4M9/)? I would connect the the modem to the hub's uplink and the ethernet card of each computer to the hub. Equally important: does this setup allow thw two computers to connect to the Internet simultaneously? Many thanks!

Connecting windows 7 to internet via bluetooth via XP

Hello, I have to lenovo laptops in front of me, the older one runs XP and the new one runs windows 7. The XP machine is connected to the Internet through a high speed Ethernet cable. I paired the two machines together with bluetooth. And Now I am trying to connect the 7 machine to the internet through bluetooth through the XP machine. I went to "Blutooth computer operation and settings" Of my XP machine. there was "use your computer (old computer name) to connect to the Internet" I clicked on connect. Then I clicked Dial up. It says Dialing for a few seconds and then prompts: "Error 638 the remote server is not responding in a timely fashion." any one knows how to solve this?

I am having trouble connecting to the Internet on my laptop running Windows 7, over Bluetooth, connected to my mobile phone running Windows Mobile 6.1. The phone is a Samsung Omnia GT-B7610 and can access the Internet via 3G. I can pair up the phone with Windows 7 via Bluetooth without a problem, however I still cannot access the Internet on the PC.  The process I am using is: - Pair up phone and PC by selecting Devices and Printers > Add a device, etc. etc.  The device is successfully added. - Network and Sharing Center > Set up a new connection or network > Connect to the Internet > Set up a new connection anyway > Dial-up.  There is supposed to be a Bluetooth option on this screen but I don't have

I have two PCs a desktop and a laptop, both with windows 7. I was trying to connect both of them through a LAN cable, but they didn't get connected. I also change the TCP/IPv4 settings, then my lappy connects to itself & my desktop is connected to a network but their is no connected PC in Network folder. Both of the PC have no problem while I connect them to ADSL router through LAN cable... Plz help me, I've to transfer a big amount of data from my desktop to lappy..... Thnx in Advance!!!!
