How to completely remove AMD (ATI) Applications
location:
7forums.com - date:
April 16, 2012
I have replaced an ATI Radeon video card with an NVIDIA.
I have uninstalled the Catalyst Control Center (only thing listed in the uninstall programs). After reboot I'm still getting warning about the Catalyst Control Center not being able to start and another AMD warning.
I ran CCCleaner and removed all the AMD/ATI registry entries it found, rebooted but still getting the warning.
Short of manually editing the registry to get rid of what is left, and also removing any left over files, is there another "cleaner" program that will get rid of what is left? There is nothing in Startup. If I Right click on the desktop the Catalyst Control Center is still in the dropdown menu.

How to completely remove preinstalled software?
location:
7forums.com - date:
August 25, 2011
I bought a new sony vaio laptop Win 7-64bit that of course came with preinstalled software which I would like to delete. Norton Internet Security and Microsoft Office 2010. The Norton is just a 30 day trial which looks like it got installed somehow the first time we took the laptop online. No idea about the MSoft Office but I'm sure it's just a trial also. Can anyone tell me if just going through the normal windows uninstall will be enough to remove this stuff from my system or will I still need to get special removal tools from their sites? Thanks in advance.

Completely remove Windows Live Mail
location:

How can i COMPLETELY remove Windows Live Mail? When I uninstall it through uninstalling/changing programs and either remove only WLM or the entire Windows Essentials 2012 and then reinstall Windows Essentials, all of my mail is still in the new WLM, so the glitch of error code 0x800CCC92 still remains. I want to get rid of WLM so I can start over. I have already backed up my mail, and I can get to it very well from the server online.

Completely remove Steam from my computer?
location:
7forums.com - date:

Steam recently messed up on me last week. Now, I have to wait around five minutes to log in. If I click on anything while logging in, Steam will crash. The same thing happens while launching a game. I've looked all over and have found several ways to fix it, but none of them work.
People tell me "Well don't click on anything and it wont crash and you'll be able to log in or play your game." That isn't the case. It never did that before, there is no reason it should do it now.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Steam, that did not fix the problem. I know most of the time when you uninstall something, it doesn't completely get rid of every file that it created or it installed. Most of the time, it just gets rid of the f

Completely Remove UAC Shield From Icons/Files?
location:

OK, i've done a bit of research on this already, and i have long known why some programs have this shield on their icon (to indicate that some apps might require elevated priviledges to run). but i have been using PCs for quite a few yrs now and consider myself an experienced user, so now i just want to get rid of it forever without turning off UAC so i can continue to use Metro/Modern apps. i read up on several methods, but the most interesting one involved editing the imageres.dll file in C:\Windows\System32, in icon #78 (i think that's the one). you can see what i mean by right-clicking on any shortcut and selecting the "change icon" option and then navigating to the imageres.dll file, then you will see all the possibl

How to completely remove MS Office 2007?
location:
winsecrets.com - date:
July 24, 2011
How to completely remove MS Office 2007 from my system? I'm using Win7 Home Premium (32 bits).
I think I did it the right way: I did the removal using the Control Panel, and then I used the appropriate Microsoft tool "Fix It" to completely remove leftovers from the Registry.
What was my surprise after re-installing Office? The appearance was the same of the previous installation; all my macros were waiting for me, etc ....
In other words, it was not completely removed.
What did I do wrong?
Any help is welcome.
Regards,
Flores
