Hi!
After upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 8, Windows Media Player can no longer play any video files on my PC. These all played fine under windows 7. This includes file formats like .MTS, .WMV, .MOV, ...
Feels like Windows Media Player broke during the upgrade process. Please advise.
Thanks!

Cannot play my music files, including MP3s, even after downloading complete codec pack

After transferring my music from my old PC to windows 8, almost none of the music will play. Most of my music files are Mp3s, and I've tried playing them in iTunes, Windows Media Player, Realplayer, and Quicktime player. I've also downloaded a complete
pack of codecs for Windows 8, and I still am having no luck.

Hi ,
Can't play a burned music DVD on new DVD player , but it will play on A Blu-RAY DVD PLAYER-- the disc is DVD-R-
I made the disc on ROXIO from mp3's that I ripped from my regular Cd's.
Should it play on a regular dvd player or is this the norm ?
Thanks, Ralph

First off , allow me to say I am a computer dummy .
Also , I am using a Japanese computer , and new to it , an HP Touchsmart .
Media Player 11 installed .
I downloaded music files that went directly into " downloads " .
I want to burn these files to CDR .
How do I go about moving them into the LIBRARY ? Or is there another way to burn the files w/o putting them in the library .

I was trying to update my WEI, namely to get Windows to recognize my SSD RAID 0 volume as trimmable (I have since done this, but the following problem persists) and got the "Could Not measure Video Playback performance" error on media decode. Okay, so
I went into the WinSAT folder and tried playing the test .wmv and .mp4 files. The first time I play one it works, but then every other time, the Modern UI Video app gives the following error:

Windows Media Player can't play any DRM coded files
location:

Hey I use Zune and almost always use the Zune software to play my music but I also like Media Center and play music from it sometimes. So a few days ago I tried to play something on Media Center and it didn't work. I know that when you play music in Media Center on the PC it actually is using Media Player so I tried to play the same music in there and got a error with the code C00D11B1 I thought it was something with the Zune DRM since all my DRM protected music wouldn't play in Media Player, but this morning I turned on Copy protect during a rip just see if that would work, it didn't. So Media Player won't play any DRM music, anyone else have this problem and/or know of a fix?
Thanks,
Josh
