Hi There,
My Setup:
1)Windows 8 Pro with the "Pro Pack for Media Center" installed.
2)XBOX360 Slim connected through LAN.
3)Signed in to LIVE (Which means all xbox updates are installed)
4)XBOX SmartGlass installed on the Desktop PC, the Nokia Lumia, and the XBOX.
Desktop Specs:
i5 Proc
8Gb Mem
Hybrid HDD
Hauppauge dual tuner (supported by Win7)
The Problem:
When I play a MP4 file, or any other supported video file for that matter, and I want to fast forward, then it doesn't respond. All I can do is to use the "Skip Interval" button (XBOX Controller, XBOX Remote etc.)

i have installed windows 8 pro upgrade and microsoft that media center would come free with it if you entered your email address they would send a product key but so far this has n ot been delivered can anyone help on this topic

Updating again! Does anyone any additional thoughts on this issue? Tks
Maybe we can get a single tread going on this very frustrating issue. I called Microsoft support and had a tech remote into my PC for 3 hours and they were not able to determine why Media Center will not install. The install consistently restarts around
30%. The install continues after the restart and consistently reaches the mid 90%. One install attempt even reached 100% but it like all my other install attempts the now feared word 'revert' appeared. I have run SFC, Microsoft diagnostic troubleshooter,
and done restarts with only Microsoft services running. A

no cursor in windows 8 media center

I just downloaded Win 8 Media Center and when it loaded, I noticed that I had no cursor. Though I could use the arrow keys to do my bidding, this wasn't a positive note. Anyways, I found a temporary fix when somebody told me to turn off mouse trails,
which I did and I now have the cursor. However, I need the cursor trails because my eyes are bad. Please fix this in the next few updates.. Thanks

Well my code did finally work through add features...was it worth the wait..the time..the hassle ?
Erm....No, to be quite honest though I haven't really looked at it in depth, I still use Winamp for Mp3 files as I always have and VLC for movies. I am warming to Windows 8 I must admit but even though I have a touch screen I rarely use it. I also installed
Classic Shell available free from Sourceforge to get the Start button back, a feature I really missed. I like the App store even though most are under described and turn out to be useless, but Windows 8 is quicker and is still tweakable so I'll stick with
it !
