I asked for and got one of these and have installed it in December. I've just had an email from MS asking me to activate it by 31 Jan. However, I've already done this, well at least, when I check in Windows Activation, it tells me Windows with Media Centre is activated and the key it quotes (the last group) is the same as on the email I received in December.
So is my Media Centre activated?
It doesn't help that the instructions they give don't work:
1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. (If you’re using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, and then click Search).
2. Enter add features in the search box, and then tap or click Settings.
This latter step comes up with nothing found.

purchase windows 8 media center pack does not recognise uk postcode

If I try to purchase a product code to add windows 8 media center pack, via Windows Update 'Add features', the screen will not accept a UK postcode.
I am currently using the computer in Spain, but payment method is UK based.

Windows 8 Media Center Pack not got email with key

I purchased Windows 8 Pro Upgrade today and installed windows 8 pro
I see that Windows 8 Media Center Pack is free and gave my email for product key
Its been over 5 hours now and no email has been sent and I see online that lot of people have had same problem and they also have not got email with product key
Is there a problem with there system and when will it be fixed as I have not seen any official reply yet to explain why people are not getting the email with product key
This needs a answer as its not good the first day of windows 8 been released and the offer not been given to those who has asked
I understand if its a server problem and there overloaded with requests but can anyone from Microsoft please update as to why we are

Windows 8 Media Center Update Failed

I registered to get the free windows media center plugin for Windows 8 on the Microsoft Website and got the key the next day by email, which was great.
I then followed the instructions on how to add features to Windows 8, I work through the process of trying to add Media Center and it recognises my key and starts the update process then it restarts windows and begins to load the update. However when it get
to about 10% the computer restarts again and I get a message saying Windows Failed to Update my system, reverting back to previous version. Then restarts again and takes me back to the Add Features dialog box with the message
Couldn't add features
Your previous edition of Windows has been restored, but you should contact Microsof

Windows 8 Media Center Free Key Offer - "Unable to Process Your Order"

I have three copies of Windows 8 Pro Upgrade. I have made several attempts to get free Media Center Keys but always get the "Unable to Process Your Order" msg. Attempted from each PC with it's own MS Live email acct to no avail.
If MS doesn't want to provide this option to the legal buying user community then don't offer it for goodness sake!
One of these days I'm going to punt all this slide of hand and go with Linux and forget it. I do my part with MS, buy their products with my hard earned money then get the raw end of the deal.
No happy at all..................... MS needs to get some character !!!
Anyone else having this issue?

Or was I seeing things wherever I read that? Maybe that was only free for those purchasing the 8 upgrade from other OS's?
I got my OS from my Technet Plus account. By the way, it works just fine.

Trying to add Windows 8 Media Center to my Windows 8 Pro edition.

Got the product key emailed to me. Then when I try to Add features, it validates the key and stops with this message "couldn't create a restore point". Microsoft support could not help
"Couldn't create the restore point. Stop this wizard and try again". Tried this several times to no avail.
Is there a way t download the Windows 8 Media Center Pro Pack and then apply the product code that was mailed by Microsoft?

Applying Windows 8 Media Center to existing Windows 8 pro install you get to reactivate Windows 8 again!

Okay, maybe I'm missing something here. I've purchased 8 Windows Upgrades and I only asked (and received) 3 Media Center Activation Keys. So today I get an e-mail saying "activate your Media Center by January 31" or I'll turn into a pumpkin.
