Windows 7 Pro 32 bit to 64 bit cd key issue.

I recently purchased more ram for my computer. I didn't know at the time; approx 2 years ago; that I would need 64 bit Win 7 Pro to utilize it instead of the 32 bit that came with my Lenovo Thinkpad SL510. After a hefty search (an Easter egg hunt that
could have taken much less time than it did) I stumbled upon the Microsoft community topic that I was searching for. I didn't want to buy what I consider basically the same os twice just to utilize something else for my computer that also costed money. The
forum here said that the cd key for my 32 bit should work for my 64 bit as long as the os is the same otherwise of this detail. So I backup my files and put them in windows.old hoping for the best. Everything seemed to work fine, it auth

How do I install 64-bit Windows 7 over 32-bit Windows 7
location:

I made a rather unfortunate mistake. I installed Windows 7 32-bit instead of Windows 7 64-bit over my install of Vista on a Gateway GM5626 (which has an Intel E2180 CPU). Regardless of whether I now boot the 64-bit DVD directly or boot up under the now-installed
32-bit Windows 7 and then try to run setup manually. Any suggestions?

Windows 7: 32-bit vs 64-bit
location:

I recently upgraded my RAM from 2 GB to 4 GB. I have a 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate. I know that this version of Windows can handle up to 4 GB of RAM, but I need to know a little more. I am trying to decide whether upgrading to a 64-bit version of Windows
will offer greater performance and program compatibility. Specifically:
- Will upgrading from 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate to 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate cause any increase in performance at all? (eg: Will RAM be accessed and used faster, more data stored in the same amount of RAM, etc)
- Will 32-bit applications and programs run slower on a 64-bit version of Windows? (I have mostly 32-bit programs, and I will likely have to use them if I upgrade)
- I've heard some programs are not comp

We have supplied HP Desktops with Windows 7 Professional 32-bit operating system and customer wants Windows 7 Professional 64-bit instead of 32-bit. I want to know leagal implications from Microsoft to migrate to 64-bit OS using 32-bit key. Customer
will use only 64-bit OS on the desktop. Can we use the same OEM key provided on the desktop to register 64-bit OS also? Which media should we use to install the 64-bit OS (OEM or Volume License)?

Network Drive Will Not Refresh, I am using 2 Windows 7 Professional 64 bit machines and 1 Windows 7 Professional 32 bit machine on a wired Ethernet network.

I am using 2 Windows 7 Professional 64 bit machines and 1 Windows 7 Professional 32 bit machine on a wired Ethernet network.
The network works very well with one issue. When I add a new folder on one machine and try to access that new folder from another machine the new folder does not appear. I must disconnect the network drive from the machine with the new folder then map
a new drive. When I map the new drive the new folder displays in Windows Explorer on the second machine.
This is very frustrating when I want to add an email attachment file from another machine and it won't display until I disconnect and re-map the drive.
I hope this all make sense. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this issue? I don't remember this pr

Canon Printer Driver for Windows 7 Pro 32-bit doesn't install in Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
location:
microsoft.com - date:

I own the Canon Image Class MF3110. The printer worked perfectly with Windows Vista Business.
My problem is with the Windows 7 drivers. I upgraded to Windows 7 Pro 64bit installed and everything worked well except for the Canon printer.
I tried to install the new drivers for the printer from ur website (file name: MF3110_MFDrivers_Win_x32_us_EN_7.exe). I am getting the following error: "this setup program is not for 64-bit windows". Obviously this a 32-bit versus 64-bit compatibility
issue. Pls help, I cant use my canon printer anymore. Thanks.

Upgrading to Windows 7: 32 bit or 64 bit?
location:
microsoft.com - date:
January 12, 2013
My XP machine was cleared by the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to run either the 32 bit or 64 bit version. However I would have to upgrade my RAM to 2.0 gigabyte for the 64 bit version. I currently have 1.5 gigabytes of RAM. 2.0 gigabytes of RAM is the most
my machine will allow. Would I be better off with the 32 bit version and 1.5 gigabytes of RAM or 64 bit version and upgrade to 2.0 gigabytes of RAM? What about a third option of upgrading to 2.0 gigabytes of RAM and going to the 32 bit version?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

How to change Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit to 64 bit with no disk?
location:

I upgraded Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit to Ultimate 32 bit. I meant to do custom install to 64 bit but didnt. Now that I've upgraded to Ultimate 32 bit how can I change to 64 bit? My upgrade was merely a box with an activation key no disk provided.
Upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium from Vista by purchasing and downloading from MS Store so no original disk either. Thanks for any help!
