BUG: Dark titlebar text w/ dark theme?
location:
microsoft.com - date:
May 4, 2013
I don't always use a light color though. Many of my wallpapers were meant for use with dark theme colors.
I really hope Microsoft can fix this bug, yes, it IS a bug. It's a design flaw that never should have made it to RTM. If it doesn't get fixed, I might have to resort to third party theming, but I'd rather not, since I don't have the time or the energy to
keep up with that anymore.

Windows 8 screen too dark, can't make it brighter
location:

So let me start by saying that I have checked several things already. I have made sure that the brightness slider is all the way up, I have gone into advanced display settings and turned off any sort of auto dim feature and made sure that all brightness settings are turned all the way up.
I am on an old gateway Vista laptop (dual core cpu, 2GB ram) and I have Windows 8 release preview 32 bit installed on a separate partition on my HDD. When I installed it, everything went fine. Then after running 8 for about 10 minutes, all of a sudden a window popped up above my battery icon in the tray saying that I should replace my battery, and the screen went dim. It was as if I turned the brightness slider all the way down. Well all of

Dark theme causes minimize / maximize buttons disappear
location:
microsoft.com - date:
November 3, 2012
For Windows 8 Release Preview it was somewhat ok when using black taskbar and only text for app names would be invisible.
Now, with Windows 8 RTM Pro, I can't set my background to black (so relief eye strain) because it makes minimize/mazimize buttons disappear and they only appear after I mouse over on them

Jedi Knight (Dark Forces 2) on Win7x64
location:

Alright guys...I went legit, no hacking/cracking/dling. I bought the Jedi Knight pack through Steam for some awesome retro gaming fun. Only, it's not so fun...EVERYTHING installed, video played, nice and easy, until you get to the actual in-game experience.
Then you get this: http://www.sevenforums.com/images/st...attach/png.gif
Ew. Believe me, I went through every possible configuration in the in-game menu for Display. The ONLY thing that made it stop was disabling 3D acceleration...which caused everything to be shaded by either red, green, white, or pink pixels. I'll s/n that if that description was confusing.
Through ATI CCC I disabled, then enabled, then tried a mix of, the 3d settings, such as anti-aliasing, vertical sync,

Dark Notes Gadget Bug.
location:
7forums.com - date:
February 24, 2011
Greetings,
I'd like to request a help in regard to one of my favorites gadgets - Black and Dark Notes.
This is the original URL of the product: Windows Live Gallery
I downloaded some updates, restarted my notebook and it was gone. Later on, I found out that it didn't disappear, it's still there, just invisible. Look at the screenshot below to fully understand the situation. The updates I installed before this happened were these 3: KB2484033, KB2387530 and IE9.
The image shows the current bugged appearance, invisible gadget exposed by pressing Windows + G and the previous intact version.
I'll be very grateful for any suggestions, thank you.
Best Regards,
SS-Totenkopf
