Let the Windows 8 hardware rumors begin.
According to Notebook Italia, Asus is eyeing Windows 8 for the next version of its Eee Pad Transformer, a tablet with an optional keyboard and trackpad dock that props the device up like a netbook.
The new model will reportedly launch in 2012, alongside a sequel to the Android version that launched in late April. Both models should be thinner and lighter than the current Eee Pad Transformer, and while the Android version will reportedly cost the same as the first-generation Eee Pad ($399 for a 16 GB model), the W

All the Metro Apps on the brand new Asus Prime Touch Windows 8 computer does not work.

- Had issues creating a live account but have now done that.
- Installed office twice after deleting the local profile and losing all the software.
- Have unintsalled mcaffee, checked resolution and UAC, but can't get the apps working.
- Hesitant to do a refresh because the office product key is a one user licence so then I have to go to microsoft again to get it all reset!
Any suggestions?
Old title: Have just got a brand news asus prime touch with wondows 8 but the only metro app that works is explorer.

So I ran the installer, and it said I might have trouble with some apps. No big deal, I thought, since everything I was running before would work, and hopefully better under the new OS. After intallation, it kept popping up a warning about a missing
ACPI driver. Asus informed me it was not yet available, so I shut the computer down and decided to check it later.

Hi all,
New member here. I would like to create an image of my Asus laptop that was purchased with Windows 8 on it last week. I would like to use Macrium Reflect to do so. I understand the basics on how to make the backup and will do so after I install all the Windows updates and remove the programs I don't need to make it as clean as possible.
Asus split my 1TB HDD into a C (OS) and D (Data) drives. There is also a hidden recovery partition. What I need help with is the following:
1. Which drives do I need to create an image for?
2. I'd like to be able to restore this image if I should become infected with a virus etc...and I am not sure what type of media I will need to get the initial
boot to be able to restore
